I honestly can't recall if there were always different colored ones in different areas, but what a great idea! Luv2Crus40 Posted May 6, 2019 #81 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Radio, It appears from your pictures (which I have been enjoying, thank you) you are near the aft elevators. We've been in aft C3 cabins recently but also like 7166 with the slanted balcony space. I would do 2A with large balconies near aft elevators but DH is light sleeper. Are you hearing much elevators dings in your cabin?
1bets1 Posted May 6, 2019 #82 Share Posted May 6, 2019 Hi, I'm enjoying your review. I may book this ship for early Sept. So far, I have only sailed RC. I have a few questions if you don't mind. I'm guessing the OV Cafe is like Windjammer. Is there something similar to Cafe Promenade? I travel with my daughter, and we spent a lot of time playing trivia, etc in the Schooner bar. Is there a place like that on Summit? And pizza? Enjoy your vacation, and I'm looking forward to more posts!

CruisingChick Posted May 7, 2019 #87 Share Posted May 7, 2019 Just now, Radio said: Some passengers parked in the garage, however I was guided to the lot. Radio Thanks for the quick answer. We sailed twice from Bayonne last year. May 13 and September 8 and both days were 55 degrees and rain. I guess the pattern continues. This year we sail June 27. Hoping for better weather. Have a.great cruise.
screwsmcernst Posted May 7, 2019 #88 Share Posted May 7, 2019 On another review, the poster mentioned that the oceanview cafe no longer had pancakes, waffles, or made to order eggs on the breakfast buffet. Is that correct? Seems odd to me. Thanks. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Rare Radio Posted May 7, 2019 Author #91 Share Posted May 7, 2019 *Hello everyone and good evening. Today was a wonderful and relaxing day. It was our first day at sea yet things on board were very relaxed even though the weather outside wasn't popular with most passengers. I was able to "watch news" and visit Fortunes Casino. I am happy to report that fortunes casino was very " Radio Friendly" after being on board for 24 hours I can say that I feel like I am getting my sea legs. I had a wonderful dinner and the Cosmopolitan Restaurant. I had Steak Diane which was prepared perfectly. The waiters broth all passengers in the dining room a complimentary cocktail called "Elbow Bay" I really like the new design of the Restaurant and I took a few images but I will take more during the day. The Captain and Officers were announced again as part of the Evening Chic Soiree held on the first formal night at 7:45. Here are a few images from today. . . Radio Cruise Critic Gathering CD, Managers, Captain and Navigation Officers Fortunes Casino Cosmopolitan Restaurant Officers and Managers I love this piece of art. . . The seas were very choppy today .

Reel Love Posted May 7, 2019 #94 Share Posted May 7, 2019 Has been a few years since we have sailed the Summit and so really appreciating "seeing" her again through your review and pics. Silly question for you about your cabin..... It appears in the pics that you have an upper berth in your stateroom?? If so, is it just the angle of the pics or is the bed positioned somewhat "under" that berth??? I'm assuming it is just the angle, but I am quite curious as we have a cabin booked for our next cruise with the upper berth for our son and sure wouldn't want his bed down from the ceiling but partially over our bed! Thank you in advance, and looking forward to following the rest of your review.

Maybe their sense of timing when arriving at OVC was just after breakfast and thought they needed to be available for them. Everyone would know if these, basic breakfast, items were discontinued... bon appetite and bon voyage

Lindagop Posted May 7, 2019 #100 Share Posted May 7, 2019 So enjoying following. Pictures are awsome. Radio wondering if at all possible you could get any pictures of the most forward cabin area on Deck 9. We have a a group of friends booking and some are considering the 9000 and 9001 (THE ONLY 2 OV ON DECK 9 next to balcony cabins) for our sailing. We have in the past always booked the most aft balcony cabins and this time are considering these cabins on our sailing to try something different. We have never ventured this far forward on the Summit and would love to see any pics of this area. Only if this is possible and do not mind of course. We will be watching the Summit docked in Bermuda via webcam and hoping your weather will be Sunny and warm. Once again greetings and have a great relaxing day.
