Do you know if that is true on the Ovation, and if Pixels is one where they do not need a reservation. Also do you have any menus from Coastal Kitchen..thanks Long way to Pinnacle so can't confirm. Pixel's is the only reservation based show on Ovation. At Pixels they scan your card with a tablet. Green you go in, red you go into the standby line. Perhaps P cards are coded to show green without a reservation. Would need a Pinnacle to comment on that. I enjoyed Pixels, it's a "techno" show so you have to be in that sort of thing but i thought it was better than Spectra's Cabaret on Anthem. That is exactly how I felt about my live review last July on Radiance. Posting pics while sailing on the ship was horrendous, but text only was easy. Once we were within cellular coverage I switched right to it, from WIF, and posted photos separately. I am curious to see how the TV channels disappear when you get into the tighter passages. WIFI was worse then too. Twangster, Hoopster and those abord, loving the pics and commentary. briehon Posted May 15, 2019 #204 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Boarding right after you! I’m concerned about the crowds now as you reported lots of lines. Is it mostly during busy times? Like the lines for lunch usually just during peak hours? Just want to be prepared.... Edited May 15, 2019 by briehon

I’ll have to find out how the Royal IQ messaging works and maybe use that. I hate to pay for VOOM that won’t work.
Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #209 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) It’s a super gorgeous morning out here today. I was uploading that video above whike I was walking the track... took 26min to load. Grrr ☹️ The crew is out on Northstar preparing for the day. Interesting watching them climb up and down the apparatus, doing their checks and balances For all you running enthusiasts.. here’s your running track dimensions Ah yes... I’m an “aft” man 😈 And lastly here’s the funnels now at full height. On Quantum I have video of them being retracted ... very cool to see. Jay bybeyeballing these puppies are I’m guessing about 20feet high? ChengP?? Edited May 15, 2019 by Hoopster95
Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #210 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) We’re currently off the coast of Haida Gwai (Queen Charlotte Islands). As you can see, we’re too far away from land to see anything off the starboard side. There’s been no land siting at all starboard... typical of coming up the west coast of Vancouver Island as the cruise ships hit the “open ocean” of the Pacific to get to the Alaskan inside passage. nnfham Posted May 15, 2019 #211 Share Posted May 15, 2019 I found a video on YouTube taken from the Lions gate bridge looking directly down as the Ovation of the Seas passes underneath. Go to YouTube and search: Ovation of the seas from the lions gate bridge Very impressive video. Looks like lots of passengers were outside on the deck.
Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #212 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Over 400 at the M&M held at Two70 (as predicted by Blizzard54... he gets the bragging rights) Two70 lower level was full... great crowd! The activity director and staff had quite a few prizes to give out including wines, RCL towels, bags, etc Nope... I didn’t win however about 4 others all around me did Way to go Shelley! Sporting a new RCL logo bag I had never seen, very nice quality as well... zippered beach bag. Edited May 15, 2019 by Hoopster95
Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #213 Share Posted May 15, 2019 What an incredible morning for weather! Here’s the view from my balcony, in shorts and t-shirt, barely a breeze and not cold at all. I can only pray for more of this the next 9 days.
AlanF65 Posted May 15, 2019 #214 Share Posted May 15, 2019 On the way to WJ this morning, see down coats for sale, windows open, nice and brisk, no upsell needed. If I didn't have a warm coat I would have bought one.

cottonballs99 Posted May 15, 2019 #216 Share Posted May 15, 2019 Do you ever pull out your sleeper sofa? I'd be interested to know if there is any room to walk around it to/from the balcony? We are traveling with kids, so we'll be using this daily!

Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #218 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Due to internet issues yesterday, allow me to back track a bit and post a few shots from around the ship where I left off on our 1st sea day.... Our CC group table will be here this evening A few photos of the Music Hall and adjoining Diamond Club Note the glass partition. These weren’t there on Quantum. Love this venue, great night spot Ovation has 3 pool tables here by the bar. If you’re seated up here there’s no way you can see the stage, however you’ll hear everything that’s going on Edited May 15, 2019 by Hoopster95

We are traveling with kids, so we'll be using this daily! There is room..about a foot. I manually retract the bed in the am. It is a heavy mechanism but my wife and I can do it...I'd feel bad leaving it to housekeeping daily. I actually took the bedding and laid it out on the balcony for the best nap I've ever had. Gotta be 70 degrees today. Pools appear to be heated with the exception of the kids pool (one with the slides). We've been in both days and it's bad even for the adults. Hoopster95 Posted May 15, 2019 Author #220 Share Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) Sorrento’s and Cafe Promenade... i’ll Have to try the pizza here at some point. I remember on Quantum I was totally surprised how good it was as Q had the very first set up of any RCL ship with the real pizza ovens and “make your own” toppings... vs. the cardboard offerings that had become the norm on the other classes of ships The Esplanade Amber & Oak Pub. I’ll likely never step foot in here... I can frequent a dark pub at home with no view anytime. Edited May 15, 2019 by Hoopster95

And surprisingly comfy. However not much space left over for balcony access. The back pillows come off (Velcro). Four of you in this room?!... did you also see the size of the SMALL bathroom in my previous pics? I hope you all really love each other!!
