Access to microwave

Does anyone know if princess will allow you to use a microwave? I have a heating pad that I need for my shoulder that heats up in the microwave.

You won't have access to a microwave and I doubt if they would agree to 'cook' something belonging to a passenger in a kitchen microwave.  You might try contacting the special needs department to see if it is possible or if they can suggest an alternative other than an electric heating pad.

I have never seen a microwave for passenger use on any Princess ship.

No microwaves for passengers and electric heating pads are generally not allowed, but you might be able to arrange something with the Special Needs department before you sail.    As an easy alternative, get an old fashioned hot water bottle - available on Amazon.   Usually the water in your bathroom tap is hot enough, but if not order a carafe from room service.   It can also be used as a cold compress if you have a sprain, etc.

HotHands also has a larger size body warmer pad. No electricity or microwave needed.

I checked with special needs a few weeks ago. Electric heating pads are not allowed onboard and they won’t consider a waiver. 

 

I got got a hot water bottle.

Robax sells heatwrap 'pads' for neck or back (two sizes) that release heat when you remove the pad from its sealed package.  Available at Walmart and drugstores.  I keep one in my carry on bag.

The fact that you have never had a problem with something that is clearly and explicitly not allowed means that you do have just gotten away with it and you also do not care about fire hazards on board a ship.
