Now that would make sense, except my mum and I have the same last name - I’m not married (honestly till I started typing, I thought duh, different last names would make sense!) but maybe on Celebrity that will be what triggers it! Rare Jim_Iain Posted June 23, 2019 Author #752 Share Posted June 23, 2019 We usually don’t do ship tours but booked one today to the JFK Library and The Adams Compound. We first visited the the library which was well curated. They first showed a movie which was 20 minutes then we had 1 1/2 hour on our own to explore on our own. They have a new Hemingway Collection housing about 90% of his material. The connection is described below. Next up is the Adams Farm and Compound.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted June 23, 2019 Author #753 Share Posted June 23, 2019 (edited) We next visited the home of John and John Quince Adams. This park is part of the National Park System. The house use has been modified by future generations but contains all original furniture. B We arrived back at the ship at 5:30 which was also due back time. We are just about to push back for our sail away. Edited June 23, 2019 by Jim_Iain

Wendy I suspect that you both got books because the cost of the book is baked into the cost of attending the dinner.

A couple months ago someone asked what the relationship was between Iain, Marcia and me. I politely said Iain’s my husband and Marcia’s our girl friend. Too rude.....people are strange! Good answer!... glad you have a sense of humor.. and let it roll off! Sometimes better that way!

Ugh I just can’t believe how and why people would think that’s ok to do so. My fiancé and I have been together for a very long time. There is a big age difference (20years) and every once in a while we will get asked if we are together ? Ugh hello of course we are 😂

I like their Pinot Gris tried that as a supermarket sample last week. Thats wonderful to hear as I want aware where it was grown. It is a relatively inexpensive wine in California going for about $9-10 a bottle. We don’t have much tax on wine in California.

Sometimes those 8 hour tours can be exhausting. I learned so much at the exhibition. When watching Walter Cronkite announcement of JFK’s death it brought back such vivid memories of that day. It really choked me up.

I personally like to get to know a person for who they are and get to know them. I’ve on more than one occasion said I was an adult entertainer. The look on their face was worth a million dollars. 8

madibeme Posted June 23, 2019 #763 Share Posted June 23, 2019 Have you spent anytime in Cellar Masters? Wondering if my darling Arie is on board? I still have a dream of talking my other half into an August cruise with Arie on the Summit.

Just checked out Villa Maria wines at Pak 'n Save one of our cheaper supermarkets. Right now its $11.79 OR $14.79 depending on variety, cellar selection, private bin etc. That includes sales tax which seems to be 10%. Its certainly less then general sales and services tax of 15%. Our dollar is worth a lot less then the Us dollar so you would do very well over here alcohol wise but you wont be able to visit Nelson on a Celebrity ship -too large small cruise ships only!
