Interesting.  What did you hate?  I would never go back to fixed dining.  Have never had to wait more than a few minutes and don't make a reservation.

There were many complaints from people that we met that wait times were long, up to 45 minutes.

There was a question about the shower and whether it is magnetic.    I tried the magnetic sign on the front door and the walls and to  my surprise they are indeed magnetic.   I'm not sure how well it would hold a basket or shelf as with wet walls the sign would slide down.

Someone else suggested a suction cup model and i believe it would work better.    Trish in the Penthouse had brought a suction cup one for the guest bathroom.   Currently there is no basket at all in the Penthouse Guest Bath and they have the bottles on the floor.

Since I am at it -    One complaint I have heard is the difficulty of the Aqua Class Showers -  The doors open inward and are a bit tricky to turn on the shower to warm and get in without either drenching your head or the whole bathroom.  I've come up with a way that works for me of slightly opening the door and turning on the water and then slowly open the door slightly and redirect the shower to the wall while i get in.

Also wanted to point out that the shower has a laundry line installed in it.

That's nice that you at least have the shower line.   I have read recently that those in the sky suites do not.  I wonder why that is.   A friend of ours recently had one in a verandah cabin.   Seems like the suites were short changed.

The suites have butlers for hanging laundry.😉

We were in Concierge last month and had same challenge with shower door. Had to kind of limbo around it to keep my hair dry.

I found that if you got in the shower with the water off, you could then take the shower head off and hold it in your hand pointed downward.  Then turn on the water and adjust the temp. and then put it back on the holder on the shower rod.  You could adjust the height and not get your hair wet.

The showers are rather small but the basket is rather generous in size.

only problem for me is the bottles are all the same color and when attendant refills or replaces them they are in a different order and without my classes I can’t read what each bottle is.  Then I discovered it was Iain changing the order.   We finally agreed on a order so all is well.

One other complaint I am hearing from SS guests is there is no full length mirror in the suite.

Wednesday.

We arrived around 7:30 this morning. The ship was not cleared until 8:40 for whatever reason.   We didn't get up until 9:00 and had a light breakfast of Coffee, Greek Yogurt and fresh berries, at The Retreat.

I shot a picture of the Ferry schedule last week so had it for reference.  We decided to concentrate our visit on Hamilton today and took the 11:15.   You can buy tokens for 4.75, cash fare if 5.00 or daily pass for $19.90. We chose the tokens for today since only taking the ferry to Hamilton.

the Ferry was there for 20 minutes loading and departed exactly on schedule.  They are good size and were only about 1/2 filled.  The downstairs is spacious and air conditioned, while the upstairs is 1/2 covered and 1/2 open air.   We chose to sit upstairs outside.

Just as we were leaving we heard sirens and an ambulance spear to Summit.  Not sure what happened.   This afternoon around 3:30 there was another Star Code on deck 10.

I read in one of the reviews that some showers have those bottles are pretty far down in the shower stall and they had to use 2 hands to pick them up and then they were afraid of falling over if the ship started rocking.  Heard about the removal of the full length mirrors also.

Have fun in Bermuda.  Weather looks great.   We love Bermuda!

Was a fun day of just exploring and light shopping.   We came back on the 1:30 ferry as the temps were climbing to about 85.  We at a sandwich in Oceanview and then took a nap.

Tomorrow we plan on visiting St George.  Will shoot for the 9:30.

We simply turned shower head to wall, adjusted water temp, got in shower and turned head around.   Worked for us thank goodness.   It still beats the shower curtain they used to have.

I would have to agree.   I really hate shower curtains.

What lovely weather you are having....enjoy!

Thanks so much for continuing your live review.

We have fingers crossed the it remains nice.    They are currently showing an 80% chance of thunderstorms for Thursday and Friday.   We will make sure we bring an umbrella just in case.

When we tried to make reservations on the Infinity last month (Select Dining), we were told that they no longer take reservations.  Also, we have requested a specific table in the past and we were told that they don't do THAT anymore either...  We are Elite and being able to reserve a time and a table made the dining much better, in our opinion.  We will be on the Summit in September.....

Interesting.  Just got off the Solstice.  First of all, there was only one line at the door for Select Dining.  We did not make reservations.  The maitre d' sent us to the same area of the dining room with the same servers every night.  She knew where we had been the first night and asked if we wanted to continue to sit there.  Got to know some of the folks at the adjoining tables.  I guess a lot depends on the maitre d'.

Jim, can you find out what Alexandra`s schedule will be for the next year ? I have a cruise on the Edge in Jan. 2020 and one on the Eclipse in April. I would love to see her again. Cheers, Heather

November to June she will be here on Summit, subject to Celebrity posting her elsewhere.   She said she is flattered by your comments.

St. George is a beautiful town to walk around.   Really neat old church and graveyard in town.  Large staircase to walk down though.  We always stop by the Second Hand Rose Charity Shoppe in world heritage center near ferry terminal.  Sometimes find an interesting Bermuda item for souvenir.

There usually are long lines for 3:45 ferry back to ship.

Jim, if you and Iain plan to spend the day in St. George’s, and like sea glass, there’s a very nice shop in the center section of town with all the art galleries and craft stores. Sign on the road points it out, as the building is set back and halfway up the set of stairs in the middle of the cluster of shops. Very nice lady who runs the place and has lived there her whole life, and her daughter makes all the jewelry / works as co-owner.

If you decide you’ve seen enough of town but aren’t ready to return to the ship, its a very easy walk from the center of town to Tobacco Bay Beach. I’m somewhat mobility limited and even I had no problem doing it. If you make your way from town center to the abandoned church mentioned earlier, and walk past it with it on your left as you continue down the road, it’s basically a straight 1/2 mile down that road to where the beach is. Keep to the left side of the road where is splits into two one-way lanes, there’s more shade and not as much of a hill to deal with.

Heres a picture I took when I got in full sight but wasn’t yet at the beach entrance. As you can see it’s a small beach, but few people go there and it’s a nice spot to relax for a bit, have some food and a beverage:

I have heard that also.   In some of the suites they have them on the floor.

Im not a big fan of shower gel but surviving just fine.

Luckily it blew through in 15 minutes as we await our ferry to St George.

Weather radar.   Looks like storm heavier to the north
