Did a quick look at the menus. Nice job.

The menus look the same, over pretty similar to the ones on our 14 day Alaska cruise on Amsterdam last month.

Can you tell me if the first and last MDR dinner menus from their 7 day cruise were the same menus as on your 14 day cruise?

The day 7 menu was the same as our day 14 menu. The tri tip was excellent.

Our day 1 menu was different...I had the Diablo shrimp on a different day.

Great pictures but I cannot help commenting on how small the portions are. It is several years since we cruised with HAL but there seems to be a very distinct diminution in the amount of food on the plate!

Maybe that’s a good thing?

Op stated that  they ordered a “small” version of the courses.

I had many of the same menus on my back to back cruises in April/May.  Since the menus were repeats, I noticed a lot of inconsistency in the preparation and taste of many of the dishes.  Something that was really good on the first cruise was just so-so on the 2nd cruise.

Did you enjoy Club Orange for dinner? We are on the NS in 4 weeks and wonder if we would miss the main dining room. The pictures we’ve seen make Club Orange look super casual. Nice for breakfast but “why exactly am I dressing for dinner in this setting?” casual.

Pictures look great. I’m happy to know I can request a smaller portion.

Reading your review....I would have felt the same way about your final dinner onboard. I don’t eat polenta and would have ordered that because of the risotto. Disappointing that the server hadn’t been made aware of the swap before people began ordering the dish that evening. I would have had to switch it up.
