Elite benefits transfer to Royal Caribbean?

Elite will get you diamond status.  That is how I originally got Diamond on RCI (since have "earned it")  Some people report it was done automatically but not for me. I called the Crown and Anchor number and provided them w/ my Captain's Club info.

Thinking of taking a cruise on Royal for a change of pace.

We are elite on Celebrity.  Just wondering if we recoup any benefits from being elite  on Celebrity when cruising with Royal?

We did our first Royal cruise last year and enjoyed our cruise.  We did another Royal cruise this June.

The Diamond benefits on Royal are great.  Happy Hour is from 5-8:30 and you can order drinks or a glass or two of wine with your meal, as long as it is before 8:30.

Also, we are finding Royal's cruise prices are lower than Celebrity's.

Dining on Royal, in the MDR is almost as good as Celebrity.  The entertainment on Royal is great, as good or better than NCL.  We saw two ice shows on Explorer of the Seas (fantastic).

Rccl has better perks for diamond than celebrity for elite. Entertainment can not even be compared rccl is the best. Much prefer celebrity buffet and there suite perks.

Some of the Elite benefits that are not included in RCCL's Diamond are the free laundry, dry cleaning and pressing along with 90 minutes of FREE internet per Elite member.

We are very happy to have the free internet since we rarely use up the allotted 3 free hours we get. Just for an occasional email we don't need more.

Since we tend to cruise on longer ( 12-14 day ) cruises when available the one free bag of wash and fold (times 2) and the dry cleaning and pressing do come in handy.

Diamonds get 24 hours of free surf internet. Must be used in consecutive order.

Internet on RCI is much cheaper overall. I just get surf & stream for whole cruise at $13.99-15.99 per day with a discount on line. Full price is $19.99

Diamond lounge with small breakfast, all day specialty coffees, and 3.5 hours (4:30 - 8pm or 5 - 8:30pm) and nice snacks are great. Free 8 X 10 photo per member.

We will be sailing soon as Elites (via Diamond status on  RCI) so we will see how it is done on X.

Overall I find (maybe it has changed) food and service to be better on X.

On Royal you need to sign in your card to get towels and return it back.

Crowd is overall more refined on X.

Also for breakfast there is a small set aside area in the MDR reserved for diamond and above. Just let the hostess know you would like to sit in that area. Also call the C&A 1-800-526-9723 to select your welcome aboard gift that will be left in your cabin.

Rccl gives you 24 hours of internet per diamond member. Agree bag of laundry is nice for longer cruises also celebrity passengers dress better than rccl 😁

That's it. Sign on and you have 24 hours to use it. We use our 3 hours on an infrequent basis over the entire cruise.

And it's one bag of laundry per member.

Another point that often confuses people...

While your elite status will give you reciprocal diamond status on Royal, the cruise you do on Royal will not add points toward getting you to elite+ on Celebrity.    The points do not combine in that way.
