RCCL Cannabis Policy. Where? What?

Their written policy is that no illegal drugs are permitted. If it's legal in some places, that doesn't count.

It's illegal to hold hands in public with your spouse in Dubai. Haven't seen Royal crack down on that on the ships.

If they allow Cannabis then they will be asked to allow unlimited beer, wine and Liquor brought and consumed in the Staterooms at every port. Then they will permit so much that other people won't enjoy their cruise.

Swing and a miss. RCCL already has a written policy that clearly defines what kind of beverages and the quantities  allowed to bring onboard. You'll never make it aboard the ship with unlimited quantities of whatever beverage.

Based on your responses here, I think a week without pot might do you some good.  Just sayin'....😁😜

Why bother going through the hassle of trying to board the ship with it.  You can't smoke it in the ship anyway.  When you get to the Canadian port just buy your supply for the day and smoke on Canadian soil which is exactly what you would have to do bringing it on board.

Clearly that's what I'd do if there isn't a policy allowing it between Canadian ports. I could buy deodorant in a port too, but I bring that from home because I already have some.

I'm going on a 13 night cruise and don't hit the USA until day number 7 so if it were allowed, it would make sense to just bring from home and use it up before then.

Which response gives you the impression I smoke a lot? I don't. I bought some when it became legal, just cause I could, and still have some of that almost a year later. But the cruse is my vacation so if ever there was a time to try some again, it would be then.

WHAT???? Its clear that what?

What it is very clear is, is that if you step 1 foot into international waters, its illegal. YOU are now twisting a very simple, logical , straight forward law to try to meet your needs.

If you cross the international border, its illegal... end... stop... no other words needed here.

At this point , this is as clear as it can be and you are not adding your own words (temporary?????) to fit your narrative.

this is in writing... clear, concise and definitive.

do what you want at this point but this answers your question in writing

Good luck

Let’s just hope they do everyone a favour and take it - then hopefully get locked up! 😂😂

This is if you're departing or arriving to Canada. It does not apply for domestic travel within Canada. We embark in Canada and the next 4 or 5 ports are all within Canada. Please see my original post.

Are you sure you don’t enter international waters at any time between Canadian stops? That may complicate things.

Now you're high. Lets call it marijuana here not a dry herb (yes I now another nick name for it) can be smelled whether smoked, transported in a baggie, mason jar or whatever and even when it's vaporized. Marijuana isn't odorless. Vaporizing only will reduce the smell compared to smoking it as a joint, in a bong or pipe.

Not high. I called it dry herb by mistake because that's what I thought they call it in the stores here (as opposed to oil, which is smoked in a different kind of vaporizer), but I was mistaken, they call it dried flower. (clearly I don't frequent the store enough to remember). https://albertacannabis.org/

No, I'm not sure. I've never sailed this itinerary before. Usually you know because the casinos will stay closed if you don't. Someone who has been on a Canada cruise could let us know.

As I've said (repeatedly) I wouldn't take any cannabis on board without knowing the policy.  Maybe I should try and find out what it is. Oh, wait...

I have sailed between those ports, you do sail in international Waters and the Casino was open.

Canadian Border Control were to be found in every port.

No, it's because I don't buy a lot. Not since just after it was legalized here almost a year ago.

I believe the high comment was appropriate considering this thread. But based on your comment you sounded high. Marijuana or the oil isn't odorless when vaped or smoked in any other way.   😎✌️

I read the 1st two pages of this thread & didn't feel like reading all 7 pages so forgive me if this was already discussed. If you are talking about smoking what us older folks called a joint, where on the ship would you do that? No smoking in your cabin. If I remember correctly from my younger days, there is a strong unique scent around where it is being smoked. If not in your cabin, where? Royal's designated smoking areas? Or has the scent disappeared with the new stuff?

Again, if this has already been discussed or it's been already discussed that the OP is talking about candy, then my bad.

I’d imagine the route would vary to some degree based on weather forecast, other traffic, etc.

I understand what you’re trying to get here but I don’t think you’re going to get it. Companies have policies but they’re not encompassing. Fortunately or unfortunately, corporate entities like RCCL are conservative in their thinking and if you can get a definitive position from them it’s likely to be a ‘no’. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s part of their current ‘Wow’ experience.

The policy is 'no illegal drugs', as per ticket contract. Marijuana is not legal at the US federal level. And if you just call them 10X I am guessing that you will be told, 'no, you cannot bring marijuana on board', 10X.

And you agree to this:

FORUM SELECTION CLAUSE FOR ALL LAWSUITS; CLASS ACTION WAIVER: a. They're talking about smoking it in the Canadian ports, not on the ship.

The passage you quoted is for lawsuits, like against the cruise line.  It really has nothing to do with what the OP is asking about.

Also, you state that marijuana is not legal at the US federal level.  But this cruise is in Canada (at least the part that the OP is asking about), so not sure what US laws have to do with it.
