Norwegian Fjords on Legend

I was browsing European cruises on the Carnival website and came across a single cruise to the Norwegian Fjords in June on the Legend.  Honestly, I didn't know Carnival went there.  Has anyone ever done this cruise or cruised on the Legend? I will attach the itinerary.

It's not a normal itinerary for Carnival, but due to numerous requests they are doing a run or two next year. 

If you are interested, I would book it, as it is most likely to sell out.

These cruises went on sale the first week of Dec. and went like hotcakes.  Believe the transatlantic to Greenland and Iceland sold out in days, if not hours.  Don't believe it's even listed on the website any more.  EM

The transatlantic is sold out but the Fjord is not.

Right now that looks like a good price for 9 nights.  I did Norway on Royal going up to the North Cape.  It was a beautiful cruise.

Carnival has done a Norwegian Fjords cruise once before that I am aware of. I think maybe in 2004.  This one is currently the only one offered. I booked it the same day they announced it. A Norwegian Fjords cruise was high on my bucket list, and we have friends that I knew wanted to do it as well, so they booked it too. I’ve been on watching it for awhile and I believe it’s pretty close to being full. We know another couple that is contemplating it, too, but they don’t like to book until right before the sail date. I think if they wait on this one they will be out of luck.

Had I not just done a Baltics and TA with similar ports last year on Royal, I would have booked these 2. But settled for last Med and TA coming back westbound on the Legend in Oct/2020. These unique itineraries sell quickly.

We booked back in December after this itinerary was released.  There's been a fairly active roll call here on CC for this sailing.  I believe our cabin choice sold out a month or 2 ago, it's one with an extended balcony.  We picked that for comfort while cruising the fjords.

 

Since it sails from Dover, England we're hoping that the outcome of Brexit doesn't negatively impact our plans in London pre-cruise.

I have done a norwegian fjord cruise, but not with Carnival (NCL) and absolutely loved it!  Best cruise we have been on!  It was a 10 day cruise, but the only similar ports we went to was Geiranger and its fjord, Alesund and Stavanger.  We also sailed from Southampton, not Dover.

I would highly recommend going on this cruise.
