It appears that they did not update the online menu that I use to post. Normally there is a different menu each evening

That makes more sense! 🙂 Thanks for all of the great posts and taking your time to share all this info!

Finally I see the President cut steak! I thought it was at one time in the Pinnacle Grille.

Thank you Rich for doing this for us all. I hope the high seas are not a problem for you

and your doing well.

Denise😊

Entertainment Report

I'll start with Lincoln Center Stage since @tommui987asked

The group in the Lincoln Center Stage consisted of a Viola, a Cello, a Piano, and 2 Violins. Musicians were three young ladies and 2 gentlemen. They all seemed to be, at most, in their early twenties.

As I have mentioned before I am not a big fan of that type of music, but I know enough about it to know that these were accomplished musicians. They were good at their instruments and played well together. The selection for tonight was Pop, and the selections were well suited to the instruments available. Each of the musicians had a smile, and looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Main Stage - The entertainment tonight was a 4 man acapella group called the Alley Cats. They had good voices and their arrangements worked. They worked well with the audience and the house was packed. The show lasted about 50 minutes with part of that used to pick an audience member to sing one song with them. They will be back Friday night sharing the stage with the comic from last night.

Billboard - Tonight was a music trivia night from them, and as such the audience was more involved. The answers were from basically the '60's and '70's and I am still not convinced that they enjoy the music involved. With the trivia contest, the show was a bit better tonight.

BB King - I only stopped here for a few minutes but as always the area was packed with several people sitting in the passageway listening. As always, good musicians who played well together. Well worth checking several times over the course of a cruise.

All in all, a good day on Noordam somewhere in the Pacific!

Hi, Rich!

Hotel Director - Mark Pells and Cruise Director - Chris showed up for a bit. Both were extremely nice and mingled.

I thought that it looked like Mark from the photo.  He was on Noordam back in July too.  He's a good HD and fun guy.  We've sailed with him several times.

Gives me some hope that we might see a few at our M&G next year.  I'll be sure to have invites for them.

I'm enjoying your blog and the comments and info from others!

I have a question for whoever on board wishes to answer:

Is there a difference between the Microsoft Studio and the Digital Workshop?  It appears from the photos that Rich posted of the Explorations Cafe' area and former library that the MS Studio is in the area of the former library, but the deck plan still shows the Digital Workshop on Deck 2 and has no mention of MS Studio.  Has the studio replaced the workshop?  Or are there now 2 places for this?  😕

In March, the Eurodam had a Photo Studio place where we could load our own photos onto the ship computers in the area and create metal or acrylic pictures, luggage tags, mugs, etc.  Does this exist on the Noordam now, and if so, where is it?

What the deck plan shows as Digital Workshop is now marked Portrait Studio

There are 16 Touchscreen computers set up in the Photo Gallery, look back to Tuesday, post #80 and I posted pictures of them

Activities offered for today.

Thanks Rich.

I’m intrigued.  I don’t see Bingo which is usually in the Showroom (Main Lounge or whatever we are calling it now).  Is the big Lotto jackpot in the casino replacing Bingo?

Your lunch sounds like it could be fun.

Bingo was held yesterday at 3pm in Billboard, just before the second trivia. I'd have to check other days but I guess it is still being offered some.

Just checked, same time and place on Tuesday and will be there today. Check 3pm Billboard, Snowball Jackpot Bingo

Don’t be fooled by the picture of the calm seas ... it’s been a wild ride for the last almost 48 hrs, completely unexpected by the Captain.  The forecast was for 25 knot winds and they got up to 66 knots which is just under hurricane force!  Things sliding off tables and counters periodically yesterday and a sudden rather violent shudder combined with a list caused a pipe to break in the ceiling of the Neptune Lounge which they are still working on.  Luckily the majority of the water appears to have been contained over the hard surfaces rather than furniture and carpet.  Hopefully we’re done with those seas now. 🤞

Thanks.  I missed it in the Billboard.

that’s a new location for sure for it. 🙂

Hope the seas have calmed down for you.  Your aft Lido pics showed a pretty wet deck which is very telling 😉

Holy smokes!   Our friends on the ship love the “rough” seas but probably not that much.  Hope everyone is coping ok.  I read your post to my husband and he’s happy not to be there!

My hope is that you guys have fulfilled the entire journey’s rough seas quota, making for smooth post Hawaii sailing!

Sounds like these last few days have been a challenge.

For those interested, the Oak Room is still intact, complete with fireplace but so much smoke wafted out of there this morning when I poked my head in that I couldn’t stand there long enough to take a photo.  The smell permeates that side of the Crow’s Nest and the landing by the elevator bank so much so that I will avoid the starboard side up there for the remainder of the cruise, just as I will avoid the aft pool area due to smoking allowed there.
