Key Lime Merengue Pie (their merengue is too sweet)

Red Velvet Cake

We each ate half of our dessert and then switched so we could try both of them. We agreed the key lime pie in the MDR is just as good or better. Next time, might try the warm chocolate cake. Someone next to me ordered it and it looked good. It’s hard to say no to the Red Velvet though. I can eat that cream cheese frosting like it’s MY JOB.

Headed to the show after dinner. We missed “Hairspray” on our first cruise because we were standing in a massively long line at Guest Services (no one could tell us about Mark’s tux rental and we needed it day two).

I was in a bad (read: inconsiderate) spot to take pictures, so I didn’t take any of the actual show. Mark loved this one though. Even more than “Flight.”  That surprised me.

When we got back to the room, we already had a few little gifts waiting on the bed. The most interesting was a full-color book about RCCL’s original production shows and entertainment venues. I will definitely find this an interesting read later on.

We also received a window cling / decal for the 50th Birthday celebration and this little coupon book.

We didn’t get an embarkation photo, and we have the drink package. But it was a nice “welcome aboard” gesture.

We've eaten at Chops twice, once on Mariner and once on Symphony.  We were dissapointed with the meal on Symphony (at least in comparison to Mariner), but the warm chocolate cake was delicious on both ships.  The perfect amount of chocolate richness and moisture.

Stopped at Cafe Promenade for coffee and breakfast. Got up a little late today so it was pretty crowded. Had to walk across to sit at Sorrento’s. Plenty of tables there though as they weren’t open yet.

Ham, egg, and cheese sandwich & a side order of chocolate muffin 😉

And I’m not sure how I missed this in our stack of papers, gifts, and notifications last night, but we also received an invitation to the Royal Caribbean VISA Cardholder event. This will take place as we are leaving St. Maarten. I like that it says photos taken at the event will be complimentary.

We got an order of 1/2 rings and 1/2 fries.

Side note: I remember a roommate from college whose parents owned a hotel in France. She once told me it was easy to spot the Americans by their propensity to dip fried things in Ranch dressing.

Guilty.

We got our ketchup smiley face. Mark thought he looked hungry too.

Strawberry milkshake for Mark. Included with the beverage package.

Apparently, we looked like we needed more onion rings.

We didn’t turn them down.

We split an apple pie for dessert. It was warm. I have never had warm apple pie onboard. Is this new? Because when I found out it was warm, I no longer wanted to share.

Slack all you want...those of us that are along for the ride...are very much appreciating your work...and on vacation no less!  🙂

Thanks! And you’re welcome. It’s funny, I was lying there on the balcony wondering if the new Symphony “delivery app” would bring me a Piña Colada.

It wouldn’t. ☹️

Had really late dinner reservations tonight, so decided to visit Dazzles for some live music. After Pinnacle happy hour, so it was around 8:30-8:45. We were treated to a surprise performance from Captain Rick himself. Apparently, he enjoys karaoke. 😀

I have video, but YouTube is not playing nice.

Captain Rick is a Jimmy Buffet fan. 😁

Dinner was in 150 Central Park for our first formal night of this cruise. Missed the picture of the menu, but we will eat here later this week. I’ll get it then.

Our waiter brought So. Much. Food.

Started with a truffle butter glazed pull-apart bread

Appetizers - Roasted Organic Beet Salad, Seared Honey-Glazed Scallops, (we didn’t order this, he just brought) Braised Short Rib

We both ordered the fried cheesecake for dessert, and begged our waiter not to bring anything else.

I ate two or three bites of this and now I’m in a food coma. I might be ready to eat again by tomorrow’s dinner. 😩

LOL...that lazy app!!  How dare it!  😉 😄

BTW:  At the airport in Spokane last week, I bought a bottle of their cheapest generic water.   I then looked at the price list.  The water was more expensive than a same size bottle of milk (regular or chocolate) and more than a soda.  😮
