Received this “ new” offer yesterday.

Raised the limit on the drink cost and the price is less than 1/2 of the cost for the Premium package.  Irritating as we paid to upgrade from Classic to Premium, paid a higher cruise fare when we chose the 1 perk offer, and have been paying a $6 a glass upcharge for my wine.

Shortly after 7 the bars are empty out.  This was the Martini bar at 9:30ish

Very interesting.

And I can certainly understand the frustration for you and others already holding drink packages. The beverage game is now getting to be like waiting until after final payment hoping for lower prices on staterooms.

It'll be interesting to see if they run similar specials on the upcoming repositioning cruise to South America, where I'm sure the numbers of Elites and higher will be significant as well.

We did the Santiago - San Diego in March and no discounts on beverage packages that I saw.  I do believe that Cafe al Bacio had coffee cards.

Wow, they must be desperate on your cruise to sell beverages. It is irritating that the top price limit is higher with a cost less than half of a premium package! I guess though that this one does not include wines, coffees, etc.?

Just received an email for the November 11 Eclipse sailing offering 50% off Premium or Classic beverage packages.  Must call in advance for it - not available online or onboard (allegedly).

Thanks for forwarding the email, JMB27!

By chance have you (or are you) going to call in to book one of these packages?

I will call Celebrity now to try and book 2 Premium Packages.

Would you be willing to forward me the email at thebeav @ astound.net ?

I just called to book 2 Premium Packages, but of course they know nothing about it. The rep on the phone said I need to forward them the email so that they can see it for themselves.

Thanks for the heads up!

Done!  Let me know if you receive.

Called to book the offer. The rep recalled seeing an email on the offer, but couldn't locate it. But I've forwarded it to him and he is investigating with his superiors.  He says marketing often sends out these email blasts before they hear about it. Not surprised.

His Supervisor said he could go ahead and book it for me, however what he was reading was Buy 1 get the second at 50% off, which is not what this offer is. So he is checking further and promised to call me back.

Stay tuned!

NOTE: This offer is only for the Eclipse Nov 11, 2019 sailing.

Thanks for the update.  I had a similar issue in booking, in that the person said she had not seen the offer, and like they told you often these go out without letting those guys know in advance.  I too forwarded the email - three times - but in 20 minutes on the phone she never received it, which she said is not uncommon and that sometimes emails can take an hour to get to them due to Celebrity filter.  I too am awaiting a call back.

We'll see who gets called back first!  Glad I'm not the only one trying to book this. 😉

Did both persons in the cabin have to purchase?  May I ask the total cost?

I'm flying solo this time so unfortunately don't have the answer to your first question.  My cost to go to a premium package from no package was approx. $372 for the nine-night sailing.

Received my call back and got it booked. It was as they said, some customers received the email promo offer before the folks in the call center were notified of it.

Thanks again for the heads up on this, JMB27. 😉

We were on a transatlantic on Royal where we received a 30% off offer for the drink package that had to be booked before boarding.  It was not available on the sailing.  Then on a Bermuda cruise on Summit a couple years back they were offering 50% off the upgrade from classic to premium on the first day of the cruise.  We upgraded as soon as we got on board before we even knew it was 50% off.  In fact, we didn't find out about the discount until later in the afternoon when some friends arrived on board and told us about the discount.  Even though our receipt showed full price, they told us everyone who upgraded go the 50% off.  As far as discounts on beverage packages, that's all we've encountered.

Looks like our sailing on Nov 11th will be a liquid cruise 🥂🍹🍷🍸 😎. We upgraded our premium to the premium + for this sailing. So they better stock up!

Did you pay the $10+ gratuity rate or was the upgrade discounted ?

It was 10% off the price. $67.50 + 13.50 service charge x 2 =$162.00. Used the last of our OBC so we paid a total of $68.00 for both. So with just the (2) $50.00 for the casino alone it was easy to do the math this time.
