Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #776 Share Posted December 4, 2019 I'm probably going to gain ten pounds this week... While that was uploading, they brought three more items to the table... Shrimp aguachile. Some kind of salad with beets and pumpkin seeds... And, empanadas...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #777 Share Posted December 4, 2019 It's starting to look like this is gearing up to be the meal of the week...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #778 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Another one of those spicy Margarita's...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #779 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Back to Taco Chelles... I told the waitress that these better be some darn good tacos, after what we went through to get there... She assured me that they were, so I ordered their special taco of the week, called the Wong Carlos. It featured fried chicken and some other things that I can't recall. I also had the Diablo pork and a fish taco. They're all dressed differently, with the freshest of ingredients... And, "C"s order...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #780 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Current situation again... Snapper Veracruz. Tamales. Elote... Mexican street corn. Maybe the dish of the night, and that's saying something. Everything here has been off the chain, as Guy Fieri would say...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #781 Share Posted December 4, 2019 For whatever reason, the tamales showed up twice. I'm not going to try and edit it. Sometimes the Cruise Critic site just decides to do crazy stuff...

Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #783 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Couple more from Taco Chelles... Here are some of the names of their past tacos of the week...
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #784 Share Posted December 4, 2019 The tacos did turn out to be pretty legendary. At least I almost didn't get run over about a hundred times for some substandard food. Pretty soon, we went and stood out by the road and waited for the next dollar bus to drive by. It only took a few minutes, but all the dollar buses make a stop in Tutu, where everyone must get out. When we got to Tutu, the next bus back to Havensight showed up almost immediately. We were now on the final leg of a cross island adventure. The three bus rides costed less than a taxi would have been just to Sapphire Beach, and that includes me tipping the driver all three times... Rare sid_9169 Posted December 4, 2019 Author #785 Share Posted December 4, 2019 One more spicy margarita before they bring a wheelchair over here to take me back to my cabin... Los Lobos turned out to be better than I remembered on the Bliss...

Rare sid_9169 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #794 Share Posted December 5, 2019 That's a pretty big ginger bread village, including a train set... All edible, except the train... The chef said it took eight days to make, and three hours to assemble.

I asked if it would be cool to leave our bags on one of the chairs while we went in the water. She said it wouldn't be a problem until about an hour, when the next tour arrived. At least my bag was off the sand and in the shade. It was just a plastic Target bag, so it looked like nothing anyone would want to steal. Of course, nobody knew that my phone and a lot of cash was in there, along with a butt load of handi wipes... I went in for a swim, and the water felt cool at first, but after a minute I was plenty comfortable... I stayed out there for quite a while, and just thought about wanting to stay there forever. Not really in St Thomas, but anywhere else than where my life is now. I don't particularly like my job, and I'm never going to get anywhere working there. I have an apartment that I like, in a good part of town, but I can barely afford it, and as a renter, it'll never be mine. I figured that I have spent about a quarter of a million dollars on rent in my life, and I currently have zero equity in anything, other than a 2013 Honda and a motorcycle... Wow, I really went off on a tangent there, didn't I?... I warned you that it would probably happen... Beautiful pictures, Sid. Trust me, we all have thoughts of giving it all up to move to somewhere spectacular. Glad you are having a great time!😊
reeinaz Posted December 5, 2019 #797 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I'm not that crazy about gingerbread but I'd definitely eat one of those minions. 2
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #798 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I just now popped by the cabin, and the door was open, so I figured the guy was cleaning now. I looked in, and there were two other gentlemen. Three stripe officers in their full dress blues. I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong, other than my failed attempt to get into the Haven the other night. He said that they were just inspecting all the cabins, and proceeded down to the next one...

meatball_nyc Posted December 5, 2019 #800 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Maybe they were just looking for the key card you “lost”. (Left on the bed?) uh oh.... I can’t believe you touched that chandelier monstrosity, found it to be plastic bubble wrap and they still haven’t removed it. stellar review so far, as usual, sid. thanks for taking us along 🍸 food, drink and island p0rn have been amazing. Enjoy!!!
