My morning routine was disrupted this morning. Coffee in hand, went to check on Sid’s Adventure in San Juan, but much to my dismay CC was doing an update. Thank goodness it’s back and my day is started the right way.

Old San Juan is my favorite cruise ship stop and I fell in love with the food and coconut mojito's at Punta De Vista last year, I hope you enjoyed your time and meal there too!

Ok, I just slept in wayyy late... I had three glasses of wine while I was uploading last night, and it hit me like a brick... I received a call this morning from Pam, (Jovo's assistant) and I'm going to be able to get some pictures inside the Haven tomorrow morning... Still no invite to the Haven restaurant, but the cruise isn't over yet...

 

When we left off, it looks like we had just arrived at Punto de Vista... After a few minutes, we were seated on the outdoor rooftop deck.

I ordered another Patron margarita...

 

We ordered two different apps, but I ended up eating most of both them... Octopus salad, which turned out to be spectacular...

 

And, a crab salad, which interestingly, was served warm... This was also great.

Now, it was time for the main event... Set your taste buds to stun... Number one. Engage...

 

 

The shrimp and chicken mofongo with creamy garlic sauce... It was massive, and awesome...

 

I went ahead and ordered one more margarita before it was time to go...

On the way back, we ended up stopping in a couple of souvenir shops, and I actually ended up buying a few things. They have these masks, which are related to some kind of ancient ritual. I'll have to dig them out to get a picture... They're called vejigante... There was a piece of paper on the wall that explained it, but I only ended up getting the name. I'll look it up and read up on it when I get home...

 

Pretty soon, we had walked all the way back to the ship...

I can't believe that I ended up sleeping so late... Half the day is gone, and I want to try and get onshore soon. "C" already headed out into the shopping area, and I'm supposed to meet her at noon... Hopefully I can get my act together by then... I had some Starbucks coffee when I got up, but I'm still in a bit of a fog...

Really diggin on this review.  I think it’s one of your best (so far).  I’ve been “humming-hawing” about cruising on the Encore.  Now, I definitely want to sail her.

 

I do hope you get into the Haven as I’d love to see pics.
