Rose Bowl Viewing Harvest Caye

Where can we watch the Rose Bowl during our day at Harvest Caye?  Will there be somewhere on the island that we can watch it, or will we have to go back onboard?  Will they show it on a big screen somewhere onboard?  We are excited to see our Wisconsin Badgers play and our two cruising Badger daughters will want to see it, too.

The Rose Bowl would be totally irrelevant on an island in Belize and the chances are zero.

Based on this, the NHL Stanley Cup would also be considered irrelevant in Bermuda yet was shown at Flanagan’s Irish Pub in Hamilton. With satellite TV packages and tourist locations having international visitors...... nothing is irrelevant anymore.

N/A on a private island in Belize.  The World Series has been irrelevant on cruises out of NYC.

My reply was referring to a blanket statement that was made concerning the Rose Bowl being irrelevant in Belize..... whether it's actually broadcast or available is another topic.   With international tourists nothing is irrelevant anymore.

If I'm managing Landshark..... you bet I'm looking at a sports satellite package to get people in to spend more money.Rose Bowl, Cricket, Table Tennis.... Marketing 101.

I don't know about whether you can see it on the ship or island, but here in Columbus we will be rooting for you to beat Oregon.

College in what country?

You’re on an international cruise ship flagged in the Bahamas catering to a diverse set passengers from many countries. You’re not in Pensilvania any more Toto.

Showing USA sports on a ship sailing round trip out of a USA port.  What a revolutionary concept.  It is probably just like the World Series, a matter of money, nothing else.  I was on ships sailing the Caribbean, where baseball is very popular, and no World Series.  The flagging of the ship is for legal and fiscal reasons, has nothing to do with the culture of the ship, even a bird brain should realize that.

The main issue is that NCL does not contract with ESPN, but rather Sport24 which has limited U.S. programming and absolutely no college sports.  It's possible that they have access to ESPN on Harvest Caye and you might have a chance of seeing the Rose Bowl, but on the ship it's not going to happen.

New Orleans. The ship was full of LSU fans (And some Georgia)who wanted the game. No luck.

Exactly, since the ship is registered in the Bahamas, LSU vs Georgia is not international enough for cruises?  NCL is cheap, nothing more.  Now you know.  I never cruise NCL during the World Series, would not expect to ever see any college sports on NCL.

What you do not realize is that Americans are not the demographic that the cruise line wants to cater to. Americans will cruise regardless of what is on TV. Americans buy a cheap cruise and walk off the ship with hand carries overflowing with cheap toilet paper from their cabin and boxes of cereal from the buffet.

The cruise lines cater to the Europeans and international passengers. That’s why you get European football (soccer) and BBC news on the TV. The Europeans spend a lot of money on the ship. And the cruise line will cater to them.

Even a bird brain understands good business.

There is very little chance that you will see the game. It is unlikely to be shown on the ship, and if it is shown at Harvest Caye it will be at Land Shark, but kickoff is probably after you sail.

Your best hope is to pay for the premium Internet and stream the game to your phone or iPad or PC.
