It’s 42 degrees F this morning in Fort Lauderdale! Going to be many folks not prepared with warm clothing.

😉 we are prepared!  Long pants, sweaters, rain coats and umbrella. But they were all for when we got back to Ireland! 🌨

2 weeks from today we'll board the Veendam - hope it warms up by then. It was 32 degrees in Lakeland FL (near Tampa) this morning. We have family visiting us this week from Minnesota - it was about the same temp there this morning. But as my BIL said, No snow and it's sunny here!

Muster Drill is over. Captain stated we are taking a new route through Old Bahama Channel. This to avoid the low pressure system on original course and 15-20 foot seas. This will not affect any of our ETA’s.

The sail away party has been moved to indoor Lido poool.

We are on our way. Enjoying from the warmth of Tamarind bar.

Veendam still has gangway attached and it looks like a “cherry-picker” working the upper starboard side.  Also (although a little hard to tell from the distance and camera resolution) doesn’t look like the radar scanners are turning yet, so no imminent departure yet.

Last time I looked at the port schedule she was listed for 18:00.

We have moved to our Navigation deck veranda. Brr!

Hard to believe it's warmer in Long Beach than in Fort Lauderdale.  I can use a light jacket but am ok without it.
