Geobugs Posted February 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2020 My DW wants to be able to slide her suitcase under her bed. What is the maximum height for a suitcase to slide easily under the bed? Also will the cabin steward have the ability to store our 2 pieces of luggage? Yes, we pack to much for cruises. Thank you,
chrysalis Posted February 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Our large cases are 14+inches deep, and fit easily under the bed. No, the cabin steward will not store your luggage.
BigGuy25 Posted February 17, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2020 We have about the largest suitcases that airlines will allow and they have always fit under the bed of the ships we’ve sailed on with no problem.
MissP22 Posted February 17, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Our largest suitcase is also 14 inches deep & fit under the bed without any problem with just a little nudge. We don't normally store them there but last cruise we needed a little more storage space & it gave us more room in our closet.
Rare 1025cruise Posted February 17, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2020 On Princess, I've always been able to store suitcases in the closet.

Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted February 17, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2020 The first thing I do is shove the comforter(s) that are stored under the bed in large plastic bags to the head of the bed, freeing up the maximum amount of space under the bed. We can store three large suitcases (airline regulation max size) and two roll aboards under the bed(s). If we have a fourth suitcase, it goes into the closet.
famski740 Posted February 17, 2020 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2020 I have easily stored all of our suitcases under the beds on ll cruises. I especially like being able to use them as dirty laundry storage while on the ship.
Jezabel2924 Posted February 17, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2020 I put them under the bed with one of them with the lid open. That way it's an easy way to toss in dirty clothes.
jeanandjim Posted February 17, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2020 Small bag inside medium bag inside large bag = ability to store 6 bags under the bed🤣 Only problem we ever had was in a room capable of sleeping 4, all extra bedding was already under bed. Ok it compresses rather nicely toward the head of the bed freeing up required space, otherwise would have had the Steward remove the excess bedding. Enjoy your cruise and the extra space under the bed. Jim😎
satxdiver Posted February 17, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2020 We store the two checked bags under the bed as well as the two roll-on bags. We never have had a problem.
casandbliz Posted February 18, 2020 #12 Share Posted February 18, 2020 Here's another couple that stores their suitcases under the bed. I'm not sure of their dimensions, but they are pretty big. I like to keep the closet space free for shoes, and longer articles of clothing.

I also hate having my clothing resting on top of my suitcase in the closet.
