THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this. I just got off the phone with Carnival. I am booked on the Miracle for May 1st and didn't think I could do anything about the price drops after my final payment date. By calling, I got a $328 OBC!!!

Unless you booked a casino rate. They cant match prices, you have to move your room and when I did it I was told "my boss is letting me do a one time exception"

That's incorrect. We're on the casino rate that knocked off $440 a few months ago. They price matched again for $168 when Helene posted this heads up.

UGH!
We balked at a Spring Break cruise and booked a land vacation instead.  Room and airfare was too much since we have 8 people.

Fast forward 10 days and that cruise is $250 cheaper AND offering me $100obc.  That's $700 change that I would've went for if I had known!

Check your rates folks, it's getting cheap out there.

Still waiting for our cabin categories to pop up again so I can grab another reduction. I have an Ocean Suite and a balcony for three on deck 7 so probably not likely but I keep checking anyway. More cabins are becoming available and the prices are going down, we hit the 30 day mark Thursday which drops the cancellation penalty from 50% to 75% so it might still happen.

It’s sad people feel they have to cancel and lose a large portion of their investment. I was almost one of them but we decided as a family we are still cruising Easter Week, can’t wait!

Dang, mine went up! LOL...just never know.

We have 2 booked and both of them went up!  I reprice it every few days and it has done nothing but go up since we booked on Black Friday.

Yeah...that's my point. I keep getting told different or wrong info when I call. I just wish they could all be on the same page. If I listened to the first person I talked to I would have never gotten $285 off of my cruise

I just checked my  May 16th cruise just now thinking since final payment was yesterday, some may have cancelled. There are two rooms available now on our deck and they are $370 more than what we paid.

Thanks!  I finally decided to check ours this morning for a March 2021 cruise and our Aft Balcony on Deck 8 was down $50 per person for the husband and myself.  I filled out the online Carnival form and within an hour they had adjusted my bill to the lower rate (was $709 and now $659). I've never tried this before and was so happy when it actually worked!  Will keep my eye on it because there are still 4 rooms open in our category.

FYI, I called and was told only early saver is eligible for price drops after final payment date.  end of story.  no negotiating.  I was nice.  she just said, sorry, there is nothing that can be done.  I booked under a VIFP rate and am ineligible to change.  😞

We are booked under a casino rate and have received a price drop two times so far. Our cruise is only a month away, and our last additionally added OBC was Monday. I would call again and talk to someone else.

August 22nd is my cruise date and I am inside cabin 4A.   I have seen zero drop or am I doing something wrong?

Okay, I am looking at the August 29th sailing, and it dropped $80pp!
