If the Science changes, so do the rules. I don't think that is unclear.

It's obvious reading through the last few posts that we're guessing as to the rules regarding families living together in the same house, and that has never been clear. We're all intelligent people on here (well mostly😉) and none of us has interpreted the advice the same. Avril

wowzz Posted August 13, 2020 #4091 Share Posted August 13, 2020 (edited) AnnieC - you are correct, and I was wrong. Unbelievably you can travel from a place with a high CV19 rate, stay in a house with family members, potentially infect these family members, who will be continuing their normal lives, thus potentially infecting hundreds of others. Sheer nincompoopery! Edited August 13, 2020 by wowzz

kalos Posted August 13, 2020 #4093 Share Posted August 13, 2020 One of our family flew back into East midlands last weekend . They tell me that the mask/hygiene and onboard the flight was adhered to by all. They also told us that they had to fill a form in to hand to a quarantine rep who would meet passengers as they left the customs area . No one was there to take the forms off any of the passengers .No contact number on the form . They took it upon themselves to quarantine anyway but I wonder if all the other passengers have.

It means, stay away from other people, do not have contact with other people. You are either in quarantine or you are not. The rules are clear and prescriptive. When you arrive back and don't think you can comply you are required to inform Border Force ( or just say you don't understand and ignore them and risk infecting other folks)

Josy1953 Posted August 13, 2020 #4096 Share Posted August 13, 2020 M&S are not enforcing any rules regards Covid. I went in to collect something I had ordered on line, lots of people without masks and not being challenged. I walked past one lady (?) who had a plastic visor on, as I walked toward her she lifted it and started to sneeze, a man said something to her about infecting other people and she told that she didn't want to sneeze on the inside of her visor because it would mess it up. I made sure to move further than 2 metres away as I passed. I have just emailed M&S to express my concern about them not enforcing, masks or social distancing though I doubt that it will make any difference.
