The CEO of luggage tags must’ve been one of the ones furloughed. And purposely left the faucet in the “ON” position to keep printing the suckers as they were escorted out the office door by security.

LOL......   I worked in the Software industry and while I have no idea how Celebrity system works but would just it would be no more than changing a parameter.

Now folks, you all know Celebrity's IT department sucks.  This is just one more demonstration of that.  It's just not high on their priority list.  I don't even think it's on their priority list.  Their idea of fixing their website was to add pretty pictures.  Whether they were pictures of the correct staterooms or not didn't seem to matter to them.  Obviously their IT folks don't know the ships like we do.

I'm curious, Jim--did you check in for that cruise?  I checked in for the first one of my B2B2B (which was cancelled) and received luggage tags for that one, but never checked in for the other two and haven't received luggage tags for those.

I've received the refund of my deposits for the two August cruises I recently cancelled.  But nothing from the B2B2B starting April 25 where the real money is since those were well after final payment.  That's what I'd like to see.

Doesn't seem to matter.    I had checked in for the 3 cruises that were cancelled but didn't check in for the one that would have left for Alaska yesterday.     So far I've  received 2 out of 3 of the Caribbean cruises.   I called Zenith desk and they issued the FCC for the 3/14 cruise.   I just noticed yesterday that in the text that I had not read it says -

As promised, below is your Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credit (FCC) to plan another cruise vacation with us. We appreciate your understanding during this very fluid situation, and we hope you’ll use this credit to sail with us again soon! Please know, your credit is based on the penalty amount held on your cancelled reservation.

I guess I will have to call again as it wasn't a Cruise with Confidence -  They cancelled it the night before departure.

I also received luggage tags for both my May 2 and May 9 cruises which have been cancelled.  I never ordered them.  So far I have not received any money back from Celebrity for the above 2 cancelled cruises PLUS 3 other Celebrity cruises that I had booked for the remainder of 2020 (September, November & December) which only had refundable deposits on them.  I chose to cancel them now since I don't believe cruising in 2020 will be possible at all.  So Celebrity at this point owes us in the neighborhood of $20,000 but I have not seen anything refunded to my credit card.  It's very frustrating to say the least.

Sorry to hear that -  Hopefully you receive you refund shortly.

You got Captain's Club points for a cruise you didn't go on because Celebrity cancelled it?

I mentioned earlier.   I also received points for ONE of my Celebrity Cancelled cruises.     They were in may account for 5 weeks and just disappeared.     Funny thing is that 3 of my 5 cancelled cruises show in my past cruise summary with the reservation number instead of points and the Alaska Cruise disappeared totally this weekend from both Future Cruises and Past cruises.

this is of concern to me as well,  my cancelled March cruise shows in past cruises with 0 points....  but my May Alaska cruise has completely disappeared & no refund....  a little worried but I have downloaded copies of all invoices & final payment...  I guess we shall see.

Yes!  Not sure if the points are there because Celebrity cancelled or because, like luggage tags, it was computer generated.

If the extra points will get you to the two scoop level for Gelato , I wouldn't count on it yet , y'all .

( I love that expression ( y'all ) but never , ever , heard it where I live ).

Celebrity gives you free luggage tags and no one says thanks.  Put them on your luggage and pretend you're cruising.

(Yea, IT sucks.  I'm a project manager.  Some of my problems are due to stupidity on my part.  Some because of IT.)

That would be a nice perk to get, if they would give us points for our cancelled Galapagos cruise.  They cancelled 3 days before we were supposed to leave and I was devastated.  I know there's nothing they could do about it as Ecuador closed its borders, but we had booked it in 2018 and it was a punch in the gut.

Darn!  I hope you get the points and the opportunity to reschedule.  I noticed the points posted to my Captain's Club about a week after we were supposed to return....

My Alaska cruises also disappeared -   Not on Upcoming or Past Cruises.   This one I requested a Cash refund so hopefully that means they are working on it.

I hope you're right...  I'm honestly getting worried about getting the refund.

Lets just hope these guys are not the ones responsible for the refunds!

Unfortunately EVERYTHING today goes through programs set up by IT departments!!!

I also received luggage tags today for my cruise that was to leave Sunday.  I never requested them and am only Preview status.  I wish they'd issue my FCC already so I can start looking forward to next year.

I called a couple weeks ago and they confirmed they had it in the queue.    I think I will give them a call again next week and see what they have to say.
