Asking for a family member. They have a ocean view category 2N booked on Rhapsody this year. They were looking at the possibility of doing a L&S to Harmony to next year. The only category of ocean view on Harmony appears to be 4N. The cruises are in the same region, the same duration and within 4 weeks. Will the category be a problem?

Finally. It worked. I was able to switch. It took some pushing. They had it in the notes that I originally spoke with someone from resolutions and it wasn’t good on new reservations. 

 

It worked out well that I waited since I was able to take advantage of a price drop at a lower rate that I shifted to. Hello Symphony in 2021.

I just put this on a similar post.  Is this why they wouldn't let the Alaska switch through?

So my thought, book and pay this now, use the Lift and Switch to move this to 2021 either Ovation or Quantum and save a "boat load"!!

 

2021 rates, same category, same date

$3614 for 2

Save $2300 with Lift and Switch

 

I don't want to book it if they won't allow it, but there nothing in the rules say it can't be moved,

I can’t see any reason that switch could be denied. 
 

just hope that if they cancel between the time you book and the time you plan on shifting it that lift  and switch is still an option.

Just do it, It will work 

 

I paid $3700 for an Owners Suite( Explorer) August 2020 Med Cruise and switched to an September 2021 Med Cruise , Owners Suite(Harmony) was $12,000
