Does anyone know how long Captain Kate will be on the Edge? Would love to be on a cruise with her.

She has been on for much longer than normal.  It is unclear when she will leave the Edge and go home but she has said that she will be off for a longer than normal break.

She was due to get off on March 14 for vacation, and is still on. I’d imagine that she will be taking a LONG vacation once she gets off of the ship.

She was on my Edge cruise on Jan. 12th 2019. Not sure how long she had been on board at that time.  She will deserve a long break.

She had time off during 2019.  Don’t worry she has not been on for 16+ months.

She had posted recently on Instagram that she would remain on the ship until her replacement could be flown in from Greece. Greece does appear to be opening up slowly, for incoming tourists at least.

Hope she is OK. She has not posted on Instagram for a few days. I love her posts and miss them.

Her "replacement" will hopefully be Cap Costas the  long time Master of the  EDGE, for whom she was covering.   EDGE is his baby! 

 

Looks like his vacation lasted longer than expected just as Cap Kate's tenure was extended!

Sailing with Captain Kate is number 1 on my bucket list.  Can anyone tell me how to find out what ship she will be on when she returns after her vacation?  How are her chances of returning to The Edge?  I don't want to book unless she is The Captain.  I asked 2 or 3 people at Celebrity and they say they have no way of knowing.  Anyone keep in touch with her?
