Captain’s Club Power Up Points

I am happy!!!  Needed two points to make Celebrity elite status. As we are going on a Royal cruise in November with the grands, I didn’t have much time.  Now I will have diamond matching status on that cruise which provides nice benefits.  Back on Celebrity in March.
 

The pup survey has never ever come to me.  In my email, I receive my sons.& s-i-l.    My daughter & d-i-l occasionally receive them, not always.   We have tried numerous times over phone and with Captains Club ship person to fix to no avail.  With the upcoming Royal cruise, my daughter & son called Crown & Anchor to get numbers for their children (Celebrity Program doesn’t allow them to have numbers).  After those calls, Celebrity emails started flowing to the right parties & the pup survey was appropriately received by each of us,  Never know what is going to fix the problem!!!!

When the kids turn 18, they will be assigned CC numbers and their past cruises as minors will be credited in the CC calculation for the correct tier.  Until then, it is best to save proof (SeaPass cards, booking paperwork) in case Celebrity screws it up.

I wonder how much they will charge for the ship excursions. I would like to do some of the cooking experiences.

Same. Those 3 points were just enough to move us to the next level, although I don't know why I even care.  It's still early days for us with sailing Celebrity, so it's not like going up a level nets us any significant perks.

I never got an email but I watched the video.  I didn't take a screen shot. At the end it just said the video was over. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to watch again??? & do what at the end?

Taking a screenshot of the webinar at the end is helpful only if you don't get your points and you need to "prove" it.  While not getting your points even though you completed the activity is known to happen, it doesn't occur that often.  I also don't think you have to have the screenshot in order to make your case, but it helps.

Thanks! We leave on our TA in November so could use the points but don't think we move up a category yet.

Fifth time is a charm, I finally got all the way through the Webinar and took a screen shot of the "Thank you! The Webinar has ended" page.  I have two Celebrity cruises booked in the next several months after which I'll make Elite status.  I don't think I'll ever make Elite Plus much less Zenith since I'm starting to branch out to other cruise lines (2 x on Virgin Voyages, a Norwegian costal on Havilla Voyages and a Panama Canal cruise on Windstar) so the points earned won't make much difference.

Till our last cruise we both had the same CC points. After our last cruise our points went down and now after dealing with engagement center have been informed that I didn’t get points for some PUP activities even though my husband did. We do all the activities together. I sent them screenshots and am now told that screenshots don’t show Captains Club #. Go figure!

Watching it now.

I started watching at 5:49 per my above post.  In Chrome, it would hang up.  Pause, play for 3 seconds, buffer for 10.  I quit and tried in Edge.  Same thing.  I closed everything on my laptop and tried on my phone.  Exact same situation.  It was absolute AGONY!  Way too much about excursions (but I tend to avoid ship excursions whenever possible). I finally finished at 7:50!  So, two whole hours.  Yes, I took a screenshot.  I better get my points!  Then, when it was finally over, I got the email.  😄

 

I'm tempted to start again, and just let it run here on my desktop while I'm working.  Just in case.

Hmm, I just looked at my screen shots and none of them show my CC#. The emails inviting me to participate do show my name and #. Maybe you can go into your old emails and submit a copy of the invite along with the screen shots.

@CaroleSS I know you meant October 14th.

 

So hooray, three weeks from now we can participate in the deluge of "I got my points!", "My points are in my history, but not in my total", and "I didn't get my points, what's the President's email address?" posts.  🙂

You don't receive an email confirmation that says you have received points. You need to check your points total and then your points history on the Celebrity website to confirm you received the points. All earned points are supposed to be posted on the Celebrity on the 14th of the following month, but sometimes it takes a couple of days after.
