Stay safe, Keith.

In 2010 I was one of the very last passengers to leave a Cruise West ship before the line went our of business.  I got to the ship by train and ferry.  On August 22, 2010, the sun went down up as the Canadian was in Western Ontario on the way to Winnipeg.

This type of weather is on it's way for us today.

Hopefully not to the extremes that some parts of the Greater Toronto Area got. From Friday to this morning, some areas in the northwest got as much as 200MM (that's 8 inches!!) of rain!! We are further to the east and we got about an inch overnight last night.

Flash flooding is forecasted for our area.  However where I used to live they  got the one in 1000 year. ( not a typo) rainfall.

Some parts got 15 inches of rain in 12 hours.

This was us up until a few days ago.

No rain for 60+ days and we had fires in and outside our community more so than 2011 which was also a drought.

Hoping you get your rain too.  When I lived there between 1987 and 1991 it seems most years we were in a drought.  Ugh!

OK, off topic cruise line, but this is for a lady in Texas:

Also, as a former altar boy, I must say I'm feeling especially tart deprived.

Point to ponder.  What does it mean to be off topic when the topic is off topic posts.  Doesn't that make it on topic, and doesn't being on topic make it off topic.

…and by the same token, are off OFF Broadway shows actually Broadway? 🤔

360 degrees of confusion? 🤔

Especially since most Broadway shows/theaters are actually just off Broadway.

I am certainly no expert, but in our various trips to NYC, I don't think we have ever been to a theatre that is "ON" Broadway!! On various Streets yes, but not actually ON Broadway! (Waiting patiently for Jim Brochu to jump in and correct me.🙂)

I’m hoping Jim will chime in too!

Somehow I don’t think the term “on Broadway” literally means the play’s address is on Broadway. So hoping Jim can educate me on this! 😊

I just know my high school’s performance of “My Fair Lady”

was SO far off Broadway you could almost see the Golden Gate Bridge! 🙄

There are at least three live Broadway theaters with actual Broadway addresses:

Palace Theater: 1564 Broadway

Winter Garden Theater: 1634 Broadway

Broadway Theater: 1681 Broadway

Today's sunrise is from the same trip as the photo from my cousin's farm.  I returned from Montreal August 27-28, spending the night August 27 in Poughkeepsie as the train to New York arrives too late for a reliable connection to Baltimore.  This sunrise is from Poughkeepsie August 28, 2015:
