Here is the latest update of the Dry Docks, Charters and Groups Onboard file.

The charters and group sailings organisations have been slowly updating their plans, so the information listed here may change over the coming months.

The information on the HAL website is sometimes contradictory to the information posted by charter organisations (i.e. some dates which are shown as charters on the organiser's website is still available to book on the HAL website). Also, some Charters/Groups have posted their schedules, however HAL have not posted theirs (eg Nieuw Amsterdam, Caribbean Winter 2021 sailings).

As usual,if you have information about groups charters or dry docks then please post here and I will update in the next file.

New information since last month is shown in RED.

Group bookings which appear to have changed since last month are shown in GREY.

25 July 2021 – 01 August 2021 : Alaska : Gaither Homecoming Group

Had to look up info on this group that will be sailing with us. For 18 years we lived not far from the Gaithers' hometown. Seems to be quite a few other artists scheduled to perform.

I had considered adding links to all the websites, but I am not sure how CC would react, as it would be classed as advertising I believe.

Perhaps you would report back after your cruise and let us know how if the group had any positive or negative influence on your cruise enjoyment?

Ooops - not my intent, but I can see how that it could be interpreted as such - will edit.

Will do - assuming cruise takes place.

Don't worry,  I doubt that the occasional link would  'offend'.😉

I see you have already edited, however as I quoted your post the link is still in the original post. 😭

Interesting that new information includes a group on the Zaandam on the cruise currently scheduled October 2 - October 9. She now starts the Grand Africa out of Fort Lauderdale on October 10, so her Canada - New England cruise ending in Boston on October 9 will be getting changed.

I did mention at the start that there are contradictions.  There are several groups listed where HAL has already announced an itinerary change or ship change/repositioning.  My feeling is that some of the 'groups' are small organisations and may not even be in existence any longer or, at best, have limited staff numbers to update websites in sync with HAL changing deployments.

Oops, I didn’t mean to imply any inaccuracies on your part. Your effort putting this list out is very much appreciated! I thought new information meant a group had recently booked not realizing that things were going to shift around. Thanks for the explanation!

No problem.  Any information that posters can add to the thread is appreciated.  Sometimes the years get confusing and even the different ways of listing dates.

HAL is still listing the October 2 to October 9th cruise ending in Boston and the Grand Africa commencing on the next day from Fort Lauderdale on their own website, so maybe they are confused as much as I am!

And so are those of us who are booked on the Grand Africa sailing from Fort Lauderdale on October 10 who want to book the cruise preceding ours!

Nieuw Statendam:

09 July 2021 – 19 July 2021 : Baltics : Quilting Group

Thanks for your efforts keeping up this list. 😊

I was moved from the Ryndam/Rotterdam to the Nieuw Statendam for a 7-Day Viking Sagas cruise departing July 11. Looks like the quilting group has not updated their info.

Thanks for spotting this.  As I mentioned above, I think a lot of the groups are run by small organisations and updating their website info is not high on their list of priorities.  Quite possibly they have not even received a notification from HAL yet!

I noticed today that Koningsdam has a gap in her list of cruises between March 20th and April 10th, 2022. Do you think that might be some sort of dry dock or re-fit on the west coast?

Thanks, @VMax1700, for the interesting list and all the research you do!

That is a bit long for a drydock - usually they are only about 10 days.  It could be for a couple of charters that have not been announced yet.  All the rescheduling has affected the charters and groups and HAL will want to recoup some earnings!

I also see that Koningsdam has no listings from September 26, 2021 to November 13, 2021.

True.  I thought "charter!" after I had posted and was thinking about it while I hung some Christmas lights. I was kind of interested to know what was going to happen before the round-trip Hawaii out of Vancouver, and if there would be a "coastal" to get there from San Diego.

Thanks.  Maybe things will change.

Too early!!!!

Still only November 🎅

We always hang our Christmas lights outside in November on a “nice” day before the freezing weather comes.  Just wait to turn them on.  It’s too hard to deal with lights and cords in freezing weather. 😉
