Good evening, I read that testing is required mid cruise, is this correct and if a positive result is returned what would happen next?

No testing after boarding except for children just before disembarkation.

No on board testing on UK cruises at the moment

Have you heard anything about the proposed international cruises end September/October?

Nothing (yet?)!

I paid my final balance recently and I must say I got the impression from the Celebrity rep that it was iffy as to whether it would go ahead 🤷‍♀️

Has anyone who has completed their cruise, received the Double captains club points award yet? Think it applied to Silhouette sailings from 23 July to 18 September?

I sailed 3rd July and received double points a few weeks later.

Hello,

I was on a B2B on Silhouette and reached Elite Plus during the first leg. My seapass card was updated for the second leg.

Regards,

To answer the question about electrical sockets, guest relations will provide adapters, we borrowed two. They charged a $50 dollar deposited which was refunded when the adapters were returned at the end of the cruise. I was staggered that they did not provide usb ports in the cabin when they did the $70 million refit. We could have done with at least three in almost permanent use. Trying to use the usb connection on the tv would be very difficult as the tvs are a fairly close fit to the wall and the ports are not right on the edge of the tvs.

We take multiple US, European and USB ports plus a shaver plug.

All part of our travel kit.

Just mentioning for future guests, we found the temperature around the ship quite chilly.  We wore our “just in case” cardigans, jumpers, socks frequently. Obviously, the stateroom temperature can be set to your own preference.

It was a lovely cruise and all the staff were friendly and the reduced passenger numbers meant tables, theatre seats and availability of the lifts was easy.

Just remember to pack some warm clothes.

Hello would anyone have any idea when the last disembarkation would be from Celebrity Silhouette on the 18 - 27th September cruise, please?

We were thinking of booking a taxi to Heathrow and aren't sure what time to book it for.

Thank you for your help.

Perhaps a little chilly but we found the air so much fresher than ever before. Gone was the dreaded "cruisers cough" and not just becasue we were only on for a few days becasue the crew were also not coughing.

4 people to a lift - great.

The downside: you can't share a table in a restaurant with anyone that is not from your own party. Sorry solo passenegrs but you are on you own in the MDR.

In the theatre 2 seats empty between each group/couple.

Noi social distancing in Al Bacio or Martini Bar - both packed as usual. Geoff

a few other bits:

Masks in all inside spaces except when eating or drinking.

Hand gel: lots of stations all over the ship but never enforced. Regratably most passenegers didn't bother. Not even the "washy washy" girls outsode the casual restaurant.

No temperature or other checks on adults. We had 4 cases of covid on day 7 - 1 passenger and 3 crew. Contacts traced and all tesetd clear.

Sun beds spaced out.

Cabin Stewards are not allowed in your cabin if you are in it - you can't even sit on th balcony while they clean. Please bear this in mind and help the steward  as much as you can.

Casino practically diserted - social distancing in force.

Chic nights: very few long dresses and even fewer DJ's. A fair number of men wore suits and or jackets but the majority just in shirts. Some took no notice. Geoff

Is the buffet restaurant open for dinner   we have 6pm dinning this time round and would like to stay on deck for sail away from Southampton and along the coast so am thinking we will probably miss the first nights dinning

Hi Geoff

I have to agree with most of your comments.

  • Air within the ship much fresher and slightly cooler, but I am happy with that. My hubby feels the cold and used a light fleece over his t-shirt.
  • 4 people to a lift - great and no waiting for lifts. Always got one within 2 minutes, mostly empty.
  • Sharing a table was a downside, on the whole really happy with the service and the distancing between tables.
  • There was distancing at Al Bacio, tables were further apart and you were able to use Sushi on 5 as an extension to Al Bacio. Martini Bar was a bit hectic at times (pre-post dinner), but there were less chairs at the bar hence better spacing, better table service and fewer people pushing for service at the bar.

Just my observations from the 23 July cruise.
