Indy cruises canceled out of Port Everglades, replaced by Odyssey.

Ktbr11cs- I also received a new invoice with a large balance due showing for 6/7/21. Been on hold over an hour so far will update what the response was if i get thru. Also not happy that they gave us late dining when we had early and the balcony room is not even the same deck nor same area we had. Hopefully, we can get it all squared away. I paid $1,205 for a balcony and it now shows a balance due of $5,200 !

I just got through to check on the final payment due today for the Odyssey cruises. They said they are currently working on the reservations and should have the price protection applied today so it will reflect paid in full. If we do not receive a new invoice showing the correct balance by 5:00pm eastern today, I should call back.

Mine hasn't either

the wait is killing me and people can already access Cruise planner which doesn't seem very fair b/c the pricing is dynamic so more people book the higher the prices get!!! What is your reservations situation? I think mine is taking forever b/c we are a 5 person room with 3 minors and there aren't that many rooms on Odyssey that fit 5!

Scheduled for an 8 day (8/14) that visits Jamaica, Aruba and Curacao. All of those countries require a PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival. Wondering how that will be facilitated as it would seem that Royal would have to make that available - though not sure they have the ability to process a PCR on board.

Nope. Both cabins still in Texas.

what is your reservation deal? Ours is a 5 person in one room and I think that is holding it up! The only other person I know on my FB group that hasn't gotten their assignment is also a 5 person in one room reservation! Makes me think they don't know what to do with us!

I have ov for 2.   and   inside for 3.   I did see my ov category is not on that ship?

so I have 5 also.  No ov or insides available. And balcony’s are getting low. What date you on?

8/22 you?

Me also.    You know with over 50 cruises and diamond plus. This is frustrating.     I just get the feeling they want us to just cancel. Open up our cabins for double cost.    Better for them.

I said that weeks ago and people laughed at me and said Royal Caribbean wouldn't do that . No way !!

a lot of hurry up and wait around this change;  the swing on cruise planner purchases can be very impactful - if there is not a decent sale soon i figured there could be a big swing in costs here as we got our beverage packages around $43/day and dining packages for $176 each.

plus we had great 1K room, 8500 on the Independence.

That is an ultra spacious OV did you have 5 in that room...if so what did they move you to on Odyssey

They moved us to the exact same room on the Odyssey.  It did not think they could give us the same exact room and type and they did.  We are scheduled for the July 3rd sailing and so far so good.  We are looking forward to sailing to celebrate our 25th Anniversary,   my son's High School graduation and my birthday.  Hopefully this cruise goes on as expected.

my problem is my same exact room does not exist on Odyssey.

If it makes you feel any better, there is nothing 'on sale' in the Cruise planner, the prices are insane, most things are double or more than what I had paid.  Also, not everything is loaded in there yet.

we had the ultra spacious booked;  originally there was four of us;  but with the changes we are down to three.  we have not gotten the cabin assignment yet on the Odyssey

I’m really frustrated that I get all my news on changes to my cruises from Facebook.  I get all of Royal’s so called  “sale” emails but never any important news.

I’m booked on 7/17 and 8/14 and am happy with the change but hope they assign me a stateroom near the aft elevators since that’s where my Independence rooms were.  Wonder if I’ll even get those emails.

Wow-us also. I got the info first on Fbook & Cruise Critic. Then I called Royal Fri nite & found out ours is now Odyssey(from Independence, also on July 3).  We only get the one email confirmation from Royal on the same day that we book a new cruise. No emails about cancellations, the new changes, or even marketing ones etc. Several times, I've called & emailed the casino, crown & anchor & now Royal. I guess our cruise list online will show our new Odyssey cabin. But there will be a lot of important info to read before the cruise.

This is such a bummer.  We were scheduled to sail on Odyssey this year but was cancelled when the building took longer than expected.  We did not get the option to Lift and Shift, just cancelled.  Looked at prices for the Grand Loft now and it is $10,000 more that we were had booked.  Hope everyone enjoys their experience on it, we will miss out.

We got moved from the Indy.  Same October dates, similar itinerary (one port change). No email as of yet, just an update on the RCI C&A website under "Upcoming Cruises."  I had been concerned that we would not get our same category, as the Odyssey only had two of them.  I was right, we scored a major upgrade. Woo Hoo!
