ROYAL UP IS BACK

We got a Royal Up Bid request for our Sept 26th Oasis cruise on Friday and again today.  Minimum bids ranged from $5000. pp (Royal Loft Suite) to $300. pp (1 br Grand Suite).  We are 3 in a Junior Suite and will likely not be bidding.  We like Junior Suites.  But maybe it implies that the ship will sail!

My guess is it will sail as they have already scheduled the test cruise from Bayonne for Aug 22-28.
Personally I would probably bid a little over the minimum for the grand suite to get the extra perks like all day Coastal kitchen, the suite lounge with beer & wine 11am-11pm (which will only be for suite guests and not C&A tier based) and the suite deck. As you are 3 people an extra couple of hundred per person would be worth it to me.

The jr suite we are in was casino comped.  All we paid was the 3rd person costs and a small upcharge for 2 of us for the 2 person to 3 person upgrade (and Tax/Fee/Port).  I am the only drinker (wife and son do not) and I do most of my partaking while in the casino (Masters tier) with an occasional use of the Diamond drinks when the casino is not open.  I will keep the RoyalUp $ for casino play.  To each their own.

Received confirmation today Royal Up bid was accepted for 07/31 AOS. Went from an Oceanview balcony to a JS. Minimum bid was $150, bid $180.

Congrats.  That's a nice upgrade.  We are still waiting to hear on our bids for Allure, sailing 8/15.

We are in your same shoes lazydayz waiting to hear about our bid on the Allure. I will let you know as soon as I find out with ours. I did look today and saw all but one bid has expired.

Which one is still pending?  I will let you know whether we are successful.  We bid on two bedroom grand suite and two bedroom aqua theater suite.  Fingers crossed for you and us.

The Crown Loft Suite. We booked a JR suite for a very good price so even if we don't get the upgrade we will be fine. We did put bids on Star Loft Suite down to Grand Suite with a total of 6 different bids but as of today all but the Crown Lofts Suite shows expired on status. We will see what happens 🙂

I was under the impression from reading the forums that the bids don't expire this early since we have a little over two weeks to go for the cruise and I thought we can change the bid amount til 72 hours before or something like that? I guess this bidding thing is new to me and I've never really tried it before.

i just checked ours.  The Star Class bid is expired, but the Two Bedroom Grand is still pending.  Guess we will see what happens tomorrow!

Got confirmation yesterday that our bid was accepted for Anthem of the Seas on 1st Aug.

Upgraded from a spacious OV to a JS, placed the minimum bid, I'm assuming we were lucky because the ship is only running 50% capacity.

We were also lucky. We have just returned from a 5 night Anthem sailing where we upgraded via Royal Up from a Balcony GTY to a JS with a ridiculously low bid. Enjoy!

We are now 3 days from sailing on the Odyssey, and all our bids are still pending. However when trying to enter via the main site, it states the ship has sailed.

I'm in the same boat (haha), but for the August 14th sailing. -I know...It's a ship!-

You should have received an email confirmation when you placed the bid.  There is a link in the email

Thanks.... That link shows still pending on all of my bids. It's the one on Royal's manage my cruise that shows the "sailed on" comment. I don't know if it's an error or if it was pulled down for some reason.  I can get everything else.

Maybe they had too many requests for bids for certain sailings? I saw on the FB forum for the Odyssey (sailing on 7/31) that people were being called to cancel their reservations. Can anyone confirm that this link still works for them?

I am only getting the error msg for my 8/22 Odyssey cruise.  I can still access my 8/28 & 9/5 ones.  I wonder if we see that when they stop accepting bids?

I am getting it for our 8/21 SY sailing. It’s strange that it works for some dates.

Has anyone had luck getting through for 8/14 Symphony sailing?
