In all my time spent on CC over the years, this is the first I have read about a situation like this on X. I hope they won’t promote their antics on social media, X doesn’t need that type of publicity.

I can't imagine those booking suites would want to encounter people behaving like that in the Retreat.

i, for one, welcome a younger crowd on X.

also, if i still have my Retreat lounge privileges due to my casino tier, i welcome a girl in a thong with a pron star body :classic_laugh:

People with high self-esteem do not seek attention.

Even narcissists APPEAR to have high-self esteem, but it is a smoke show.

Don't think the poster was referring to moral superiority.  Think he meant that if you're spending that much money for a suite and the special perks and restricted access areas, being annoyed by loud, obnoxious behavior might not be what you'd be expecting.

I would be equally annoyed by loud, obnoxious behaviour in the Solarium or any other area aboard.

On board, we have all commented, out of all the ships and cruise lines they could have cruised, Celebrity would have been the last one we chose.

There would be other cruises that would probably fit their “vibe” better than Celebrity.  I’ve only seen them a couple of times.  There’s my saving grace.

Until, they knock over your drinks, or wonder out loud about your appendage, or scream in your ear when they’re standing right next to you.

With CM, did you or have you heard from other pax that you can leave on an approved taxi and how you'd go about doing that?  Do you try to the leave the pier checkpoint and tell them you're wanting an approved taxi?  Hearing mixed reports

Rather ironic though for all the poo pooing of these guests we have continued requests for photos of them. Rubbernecking a highway car crashing going on here?

I apologize about making so much of this thread about these two girls.  But, they’re kind of like a 20 car pileup on the interstate.  You’re waiting and watching to find out how much carnage there will be.

Back to the cruise……

ENTERTAINMENT…..

This isn’t one of those HUGE PRODUCTION entertainment cruises.  Most shows and music entertainment runs 45 minutes.  That said, what’s here is very good.  There are performers at the Martini Bar every night ranging from a solo guitarist to a contemporary 4 piece band.  At Eden, there is a jazz quartet every night.  In the theater, there’s a high energy “we love to love, we love to sing, we love to dance” type show that is also very good.  There’s a magician that also performed in the Theater.  He’s good, also.

Bottom line, no duds, all good.  They’re smaller than what you’ll see in the likes of NCL or Royal, and they are worlds better than what you’d see on something like Carnival and MSC.  I have experience on all those brands, so have a reference point.

They have some fairly recent movies in the theater, too.  And, the always present, dance classes, which I consider entertainment ;).

There was also a dance party at the main pool last night that I stopped to check out after the casino.  It was going pretty well given it was about 1:00 a.m.  But, I keep having to remind myself, the ship is only 40% capacity. So, that was probably a good showing all considered.

In all frankness, I’m just going to try to go to Junakanoo Beach and hang out for a couple of hours drinking Bahamian drinks with the locals.  Not sure I can do that, though.  Concierge is finding out for me.

I think you are free to find your own tours in Nassau.

I do know a mask is required off the ship to accommodate Bahamian regulations.

From what I’ve heard, trips to Atlantis, Rum factory, Chocolate factory (all of which I’ve done many times before) are done through a curated tour via Celebrity.  In all frankness, I’m just going to try to go to Junakanoo Beach and hang out for a couple of hours drinking Bahamian drinks with the locals.  Not sure I can do that, though.  Concierge is finding out for me.

Thanks, Nassau was most recently said is free roam so this is new.  My bad on the acronym, by CM I meant Costa Maya.  It was reported that you can use approved taxi yet I wasn't sure how to find them, do you walk up to the checkpoint and tell the guards you want a taxi?  Wasn't sure if you heard anything.

How's the sound in the theater? The two times I was on the Edge the sound mixing wasn't good and many times it was difficult to hear the performers clearly.

Fortunately, we never saw the porn stars in the Retreat.

It's not a matter of moral superiority but the Retreat on the Edge is a quiet place, away from the noise and agitation of the other decks. The decks with parties and shows are fun but I love to be able to Retreat to a quiet place.

Besides that, I would be happy with a balcony.

BTW, the porn stars are in a suite.

They are entertaining, we see them everyday. On day 2, I saw one dancing on a bar next to the pool. The next day, my wife saw 6 security guards taking them to quiet corner and giving them a lecture. Yesterday, one of them was taken taken to "detention" but released later.

I don't know about today but we'll hear the gossips later.

My wife says that they may be looking for temporary sugar daddies to amortize the cost of the cruise.

Or maybe they are YouTube "stars"?

Just hope they’re not working on “amateur film projects.” Again, that poor, poor room steward. Can they burn sage before the next passengers come in?

To hear what Captain Kate thinks of it all…I would love to be a fly on that wall!

Correct….just found that out and corrected my post.  Thanks!

Interestingly, Cap’n Kate showed up for the magician’s show, and was sitting with some of her staff.  The Magician called up one of the “porn girls” for his show.  At first I thought she was a “plant”.  But, she was drunk and totally messed up and wouldn’t do anything the Magician instructed and kept dropping “F” Bombs.  Finally, he gave up and told her to sit down.

Not sure what Capt Kate thought.  And, at first there was some nervous laughter, which then turned into some people leaving.

It was good….very good, as a matter of fact!  Not shrill, not overbearing.

You know I saw your post before and I forgot to respond.  Sorry about that.  There were curated taxis outside the fenced area outside of the main shopping area in Costa Maya.  Can’t miss them.  They’re all lined up on the road outside the port shopping area.

Another small, meaningless factoid I’ve noticed……and this in no way has any bearing on how I’ve enjoyed this cruise, but the crew I’ve encountered, from my cabin steward, to the person cleaning tables and stair rails, all of them speak perfect English, regardless of their nationality.

Again, this has zero affect on how I enjoy any cruise.  But, more than once I’ve had a little glitch when  communicating with some crew on other cruises.

Having some lunch, in the Buffet, which is the first time this entire cruise.  I usually don’t eat much for lunch.  Have a salad and some artisan cheese right now.  But, every thing I’ve looked at looks delicious and well prepared.

-Butter Chicken

-Rotisserie Roast Beef, Turkey and Chicken

-Several rice and pasta dishes

-extensive salad bar (served by crew)

-burgers, hot dogs, pizza…all fresh

If you can’t find something for lunch that you’ll like, you probably qualify as a “very picky eater”.

Well done, Celebrity!

I've noticed from when I first started sailing with Celebrity the onboard employees skewed towards Eastern European countries. On NCL and Carnival they've tended more from South and SouthEast Asia.
