Mardi Gras Casino

It's good to hear that there is a non-smoking casino, but there is no barrier between the two, what's to prevent the smoke from the smoking part to go toward the non-smoking part of the casino?

Well, we all got our wish.  Large casino - half smoking and half non.  Exciting.  I don't want to ever see another negative remark about the casino smoke or non-smoking again.  Ever.  lol

And the very next post after yours fixed that for you. LOL

No wonder they don't have room for a decent sized comedy club or a sports bar. I'm going to bet that non-smoking pit is closed most of the time. They're going to need smoking and non-smoking people to keep their tables open.

Why do the smokers get beautiful floor to ceiling windows with unobstructed views of the sea a their table games, but non-smoking tables have small windows looking at lifeboats?  😁 🏴‍☠️

Because, always, non-smokers are the afterthought!

Because everyone can use those tables. They'll be the first ones to open and the last ones to close.

So they can look out and see what fresh air looks like.

Disclaimer:  I just posted that so smokers at home would scowl at me though their monitors.  🙂

Well, as much as I appreciate a good location/view - I guess I never really used to look out too much while playing anyway. I was usually too focused on the business at hand!

In both pictures you are actually playing with your back to the views. The dealer gets a nice view though.

Like Tom said above, most people playing a table game aren't paying any attention to the view from the table.

I'll take that bet.  Only 9 tables in the smoker's section.

I can't remember which ship I was on that had windows you could look through while playing table games, but I remember getting mesmerized by the view of the ocean from time to time and how enjoyable that was.

The tables are spaced around the pit, so roughly half will have dealers looking at the ocean while half will have players looking at the ocean.

Because most smokers have an addictive personality they are more likely to drink more and gamble more which is the whole point of a casino. It is just a business decision to market to your best customers and not a judgement on those that do or don't smoke. As some non-smokers can gamble and drink with the best.

I can't see the video (at work), do both the smoking and non-smoking have a pit with tables all the way around?

Well guess what! John Heald got it backwards and just posted a correction video! This is the SMOKING side (facing the lifeboats) and the larger side facing the water is non-smoking.
