Took an absolute beatdown at the craps table tonight. Almost bad enough to make me cry.  Ok maybe not actually cry, but it was brutal and it happens with gambling from time to time.

Does the Casino have an automatic Texas Holdem table where several people can play a cash game or tournament?

They went through several. Current, hip hop, disco, jazz…. The dancing and the show was fantastic!

I really enjoyed “Humanity”by Step One Dance Company a lot when we last sailed HAL in 2019 BC. Very well suited for the visual effects in pinnacle Class main showroom.

The song “Dust in the Wind” always comes to my mind when I think about that first show. (Second, different theme performance was not as good IMHO.)

There was a promo on the HAL website that gives a preview: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/onboard-activities/cruise-entertainment/step-one-dance-company.html

I only play bingo on ships so purchased daubers on my last cruise, just before the shutdown.  I plan to keep them in my suitcase (in a ziplock baggie) for the next cruise.  I hope they won't dry out since that's another year away!

Just a suggestion for those of you who have a few.

Great suggestion.  They don't dry out.  I have one from my Princess PC cruise in 2012 that's still going strong. 😀

They actually have disinfectant wipes and ask you to wipe it down before and after use. They are doing the same in the gym with the equipment there.

Excellent.  Thanks for that.

Great example of why LIVE Froms are so helpful.

So the MDR didn't quite do it for me tonight and craps was not good....  However, sushi can help ease both of those things!

Spicy tuna and spicy scallop rolls and they let me box them up and take them back to my cabin.

I never knew this was possible!  Thanks for posting about it!

This isn't a new thing ... hopefully people are being more diligent about doing it.

Thank you for sharing your time with us.  Has anyone mentioned at what "capacity" you are sailing this week? We will be aboard for the Sept. 11th sailing and wonder how far they will ramp up the capacity by then.

We’re at 1588.  Last week was 1500, they’re aiming for 1700 next week and climbing from there.

Internet is being temperamental for me this morning. Fingers crossed it is just a case of the hiccups this morning and not a sign that it is going to crap out on us like it did Lisa.

@liam1965 thanks for adding to the thread!

Have a great day in Juneau.  I will watch your sail in.

Yes it does, technically it would be considered adjacent to the casino and actually in the gallery bar area

I have played bingo twice this cruise and bought 1 each time. 1st game I went crap I knew I forgot to pack something.  2nd game I forgot the new one in the room and did not feel like walking all the way back to get it...

Had breakfast at the lido this morning.  Saw a whale tail and some dolphins while eating, but didn't get any pics/videos of them.

Dang!  My FAVS!!  I love those chocolate croissants with a passion but no longer can eat them. 😭  But that omelet looks delish (and that I CAN eat!)

So what's on the agenda in Juneau today for you and the kidlets?

As for trying food... since a young age I have told them they should always be willing to try new things. There is no way to know if you will like it or not without trying.  You do NOT have to like everything you try, that is completely fine. This applies to much more than just food though.

And that is why your children are so amazing 👍
