Not all red frogs do food. The Pride has not served food in the red frog in the past.

Most if not all ships that had the Red Frog Pub added as part of either the 2.0 upgrades, or more major upgrades, won't have the entire food menu, they just have some snack items, which the Pride is/has. Ships like the Breeze that had The Red Frog included as part of the new ship build have the cooked food items, like conch fritters and some others.

Random questions:  (if you know)

1.  Is the gym busy, and what are the protocols?

2.  Are the laundry rooms open for washing gym and pool clothing?

the gym is definitely not busy but I haven’t been there super early, but between 8-10 still plenty of open machines etc.

haven’t found a laundry room yet but I’ll keep an eye out.

It was a lazy day today. We slept in and got up for our morning exercise routine. It’s a hot one today!  We got showered and headed down for brunch.

Got there at 10:15, again checked into the app and got our table assignment as we walked up. They must still be working the kinks out of this system. We got to our table of 8 seats, 6 were taken and they were just finishing. No worries they switched us to a table for 4 by ourselves. Also the toggle switch to indicate if you want to share does absolutely nothing. We turn it off and they put us at a sharing table anyways. Not a big deal for us we don’t mind as long as we aren’t squished in with other folks. But why bother having it if it doesn’t work.

Food Allergy Update: Preordering is definitely the way to go. They made DW pancakes (she said they were ok, not great but good), French toast (she said was excellent and she will be getting again, and bacon.

I went with the French toast, which was delicious and the chia seed pudding which was also good.

pro tip: the orange juice they give you for free is way better than the $5 fresh pressed juice. I would stick with that IMO.

While you may enjoy the OJ that's free just know that it's not actually 100% Orange Juice. In fact if you see the packaging that they fill the machines with it says Orange Drink Beverage or something to that effect. In other words, there's probably sugar water mixed in with OJ concentrate which may be why you like it better.

I was on the Pride's 9/12 sailing.  The gym was hardly ever used and valet laundry was open (not sure about self-serve).  Even the hot tub was empty 2 out of 3 times I checked.

Agreed that the MDR seaday brunch OJ is much better than the OJ on lido.  It does taste fresh-squeezed but I doubt it is.  All three of us asked for thirds on OJ.  Good balance of tart/sweet/pulp and just tastes fresh.  Your 9/19 bacon looks better than my 9/12 bacon!  What up with that!

you’re probably right about this. But hey what I don’t know can’t hurt me right? 😉

Looks like the gym might be the way to go to relax in a hot tub with the wife.

definitely. Because the pool deck, even at 55% capacity, on a sea day is still VERY busy.

Yes, love a good balance of pulp in my OJ and this glass didn’t disappoint!

I have enjoyed reading this.  Thank you for taking the time to do it.  We are on the Legend out of Baltimore on 11/21/21.  This is making me more excited.  I try to stay away from sugar/carbs for the most part.  Have you seen any White Claw or Truly seltzers at any of the bars?

I'm assuming this is fleet wide (most brands are) and Truly is the only seltzer that was on another ship

Yup, it’s all Truly and it’s available at most bars I’ve seen.

Someone else has asked earlier about the MP for the Seafood Corner. Sorry I could find that post to tag them here but here are the current prices.

I appreciate you getting back to us with the photos.  My wife loves snow crab legs and peel and eat shrimp.

There are 1482 passengers onboard this week. I think her max capacity is 2680, so that means we are at about 55%.

there are  plenty of staff walking around the pool decks. They aren’t bothersome but come around regularly a d it’s easy to flag one down.

So, closer to 70% if you use the double occupancy rate of 2,100 vs max capacity.  A little disappointing it is that high compared to other Cruiselines.  Appreciate the information, have a great cruise

DW and I were stuffed from brunch and skipped lunch. But later in the afternoon she wanted to kick the tires on the Blue Iguana. She got a chicken taco on a corn tortilla. They don’t advertise having corn tortillas but they do if you ask. She said it was good, hard to eat because the tortilla fell apart, but was good. she can eat any of the meats, corn, pico etc.

Because she knew she was having a plain chicken breast tonight we snagged a small dish of Guys Bourbon BBQ sauce and kept it in our fridge, taking it with us to dinner tonight.

MDR menu posted below.

DW had a salad and a chicken breast with veggies.

I had a pork slider, which was all bread, waaaay too much bread, and almost no meat. It was really terrible. And the escargot, which is my absolute favorite. While I still think Princess is the best this one was very good.

I got the baked Ziti for my main. Every Italian, past and present, is rolling over at anyone calling this a baked Ziti. While it tasted good, it was very disappointing as this was absolutely not a baked ziti and I’m not sure how any chef could call it one.

and for dessert DW had a fruit plate and I had the panacotta, which was delicious!

So I posted the menu in the post right above this. I didn’t see a separate menu for food. Do they only serve food during certain times?  Love the pub so happy to go back and grab it for you.

I Don't know; on the Carnival site it says there is pub grub but I have never found the menu.

Update on mask wearing. I would say about 80% of people are wearing their masks when indoors anywhere.

This is not like last week at all.  At our poker table, only the 90-yr old man wore a mask.  In general around the ship indoors, I estimated 60% at most wearing masks.  But 100% in elevators and even outdoors at Freeport and Nassau.
