We did eat in the Steakhouse one night. Patti and I have always been MDR people, but when we were on the Horizon in August things changed. We had Your Time Dining and were enjoying dinner on the first Elegant night. They proceeded to sit another couple at the table 4" from us even though there was plenty of empty space throughout the dining room. Nothing against the other couple but what happened to social distancing? We ate in the buffet or at "other" venues the rest of that cruise. When you think about it, most of what is being served in the MDR is available at the lido. The food comes from the same place,  it's just plated and made pretty for you in the MDR.

On the Panorama we didn't eat in the dining room except for brunch. We ate at the "other " venues for 6 nights and the buffet one night.

We are doing a B2B on the Mardi Gras in April and I see us eating in the MDR only once or twice. 😎

Interesting that you left main dining bc of the way they sat. we were on Miracle and did the same. They sat all the 2 tops in a row. so we were 4 inches from a couple on either side. of course we chatted with them both but its just odd they do not spread them out. They moved a sign that said reserved bc of social distancing, to seat us, twice.🙂

What a great and fun meal!  We were in a food coma for sure when we rolled out of Teppanyaki.  Patti caught Jim again with his eyes closed…Resting up for all that food!

I think we were in food comas several times on this cruise! 😜

Day # 17  (October 25th)  -  Fun Day at Sea # 2!

We were up at 7 am to a beautiful day. Here are today’s “Fun Times”…..

IMG_7555-X2.jpg

IMG_7556-X2.jpg

Patti wasn’t hungry for breakfast, so I went to the Ocean Plaza to get something to eat. Jim and Pat were eating outside on the Lanai, so I grabbed a plate and joined them. Saint Greg was out there as well, enjoying his morning coffee before heading to the Sea Day Brunch.

Today is going to be a Halloween themed day, with Halloween trivia, Patch’s pumpkin hunt, pumpkin carving, Thriller dance class, costume contest, and finally a Halloween deck party. The Dreamscape would have Halloween themes as well…..

IMG_7557-X2.jpg

IMG_7584-X2.jpg

At 9:30 we went to the Morning Show where Lee, JJ, and Christian were dressed for the occasion…..

IMG_7562-X2.jpg

IMG_7565-X2.jpg

IMG_7563-XL.jpg

IMG_7568-X2.jpg

IMG_7582-X2.jpg

They talked about all of the fun Halloween stuff that was going to happen today.

Afterwards, we stayed for the Military Appreciation Show hosted by Lee, and it was extremely well done, and very emotional.

Next up was the Diamond Event…..

IMG_7588-X2.jpg

IMG_7589-X2.jpg

IMG_7590-X2.jpg

The event was held in the Limelight Lounge. I believe there were about 60 Diamond members on board this cruise…..

IMG_7594-X2.jpg

Kedroy was entertaining us on the piano…..

IMG_7591-X2.jpg

IMG_7593-X2.jpg

Captain Luca Lazzarino addressed the gathering…..

IMG_7599-X2.jpg

The drinks were flowing freely, and they served some pretty awesome snacks…..

IMG_7607-X2.jpg

Here is our table picture which they gave to us for free…..

I just wanted to show you the wall decorations in the Heroes Tribute Bar…..

Next, we made our way up to the Red Frog Rum Bar for some drinks, and to watch the pumpkin carving…..

IMG_7683-X2.jpg

For the pumpkin carving there will be three contestants, along with Lee and another crewmember…..

IMG_7629-X2.jpg

IMG_7633-X2.jpg

IMG_7648-XL.jpg

IMG_7647-XL.jpg

This event is being hosted by JJ…..

IMG_7634-X2.jpg

IMG_7651-X2.jpg

The crewmember is definitely a ringer!

IMG_7659-X2.jpg

IMG_7661-X2.jpg

Lee’s creation isn’t too bad…..

Here are the three contestant’s pumpkins. As usual, the puking pumpkin wins again!

IMG_7662-X2.jpg

IMG_7664-X2.jpg

IMG_7663-X2.jpg

Don’t remember if we showed you this yet. But here is the Towel Hut and Life Jacket stand by the Main Pool…..

IMG_7649-X2.jpg

IMG_7658-X2.jpg

Next up is the Deal or no Deal game show in the Liquid Lounge…..

IMG_7694-X2.jpg

Marky Mark is selling game cards for $25 each or 2/$40…..

IMG_7693-X2.jpg

IMG_7711-X2.jpg

The idea is to match as many cases as you can to win the better prizes. For instance, if the contestant on stage picks case # 7 and it’s $50, if the # 7 on your card is $50, then you have a match.

IMG_7697-X2.jpg

The computer picks the on stage contestant from all of the cards sold…..

IMG_7701-X2.jpg

This is the game board, and some in play action…..

IMG_7705-X2.jpg

IMG_7710-X2.jpg

This is the audience prize board. You have to have at least two matches to win anything…..

IMG_7709-X2.jpg

Can you explain the programming the elevators? So when you walk up to the set of elevators, is this when you do it and what is involved?

Here are the instructions. There are no floor buttons inside the elevators. Currently, these types of elevators are only on the Vista Class ships.

Actually that's just Horizon and Panorama. Vista has a weird thing you'll see when I'm back on it in a couple weeks.

We had some time before tonight’s late Playlist Production show, so we stopped at the Alchemy Bar for a couple of cocktails. We wanted to try to get our favorite seats for the show, so we made our way to the Liquid Lounge about ten minutes before the doors opened. Passing through the atrium we saw another Halloween Dreamscape…..

IMG_7743-X2.jpg

We got the seats that we wanted, which is the high top just in front of the bar. These seats give you a perfect, unobstructed view of the whole show. Patti loves these seats for taking pictures. Here are Jim and I…..

Tonight’s Playlist Production Show is “Soulbound”, which fits in perfectly with the Halloween theme of today. Here are some pre-show pictures…..
