I doubt 5 minutes will make a big difference. They will send a form round pre departure if it is their usual trip plus airport drop off - make sure you say the flight time is 1500 🙂 Also have a plan B the last three times we have booked that excursion in various end points it has been cancelled and then you are left a little stranded.
tidespring Posted December 8, 2021 #127 Share Posted December 8, 2021 Jules of the Seas. Thank you for the info already supplied. Could you please let us know if independent shore excursions are being allowed in the Canaries. I am due on the cruise 29th Jan. Many thanks. Richard. mumcat Posted December 8, 2021 #128 Share Posted December 8, 2021 Are you allowed on shore independently or must we take ship's tours? We are joining Journey on the 18th.

We plan to make our own arrangements for each port.
Jules of The Seas Posted December 9, 2021 #130 Share Posted December 9, 2021 Hi, We have been ashore independently at every port. Just need to carry your proof of vaccination, and in some ports proof of testing, although it has never been asked for!

All four ships have an outside sitting area at the back of Deck9 that is part of Windows buffet (though the food is not currently served buffet style). marinaro44 Posted December 11, 2021 #133 Share Posted December 11, 2021 The Patio is also outdoors, serves lunch and dinner, but may or may not be open depending on weather and passenger load.
takemewithyou Posted December 11, 2021 Author #134 Share Posted December 11, 2021 Currently onboard Quest heading from Miami to St Thomas, first day at sea. Hotel Director currently is Ngawhira. Have not seen her yet. Have heard Ryzard may be joining this cruise….may be just a rumor….not sure. Boarding and testing went well. Was never asked for our bar code. Not sure why we obtained one? but that’s ok. Lots and lots of sea day activities! While other cruise lines may have cut back on activities staff, there seems to be plenty here. Last nights entertainment was a pianist and orchestra. It was enjoyable and so nice to hear live performers again. CD Danny Turner and assistant CD is Tanya. She performs tonight. Weather is warm, but very windy. Tonight is Captain’s toast. 3

Danny’s show will also be good. He’s not the showman that Eric and Tony are but he’s got a very pure voice Edited December 11, 2021 by uktog

Yes we’re allowed ashore independently. About 320 passengers aboard and 230 of us from the UK ! It is so good to be on board Azamara again, actually quite emotional 😀😀😀 6

I think Azamara was saying originally that Portugal might not allow independent excursions. Are any of the activity areas / food options closed with the reduced capacity?
