Maureen is a living legend!

Mine, too.  I live by those words these days.

I love this so much!

My head is spinning.

You can order everything on the menu at Wonderland.  We did.

One time, I took a mattress topper still in its shipping box.  I used that box for B2B2B as my table!

Maybe we really are related...  🤔  My one dessert comment was about Sabor, not Wonderland.  Wonderland was the puff of smoke.  Try to keep up.

This is such a spot on description of Maureen and her hilarious humor.

It's not me, it's being Boston Irish Catholic.  We know we don't deserve any happiness and if anything good does happen, we will be severely punished for it.

As most cruises go, soon it was time to eat again.  It was formal night or whatever they call it now.  Yes, on the third night, not the second, don’t lose your mind.

Dale was ready to go.

The fried calamari was calling my name, but I resisted and had Caesar Salad again.

Beef Tenderloin.  Why are the Jolly Green Giant’s legs on my plate?

Notice my strategy: Choke down the asparagus, then wash it down with tenderloin and mashed potatoes.  Look, Merion Mom, look!

I came back to my room to a fox, I think?  More intricate than the usual towel animals.

Ryma had a polar bear?

IMG_4632.thumb.JPG.de7951a3b66ad6d257e053bfab72302b.JPG

It was at this point that we implemented the great Evian heist of 2021.

Ryma said that they had messed up her wine a few times and she called to correct it.  When they brought the right wine, they never took the wrong one, they just left them both with her.  Ipso facto, we decided that on the third day of the cruise, despite telling them repeatedly that the water was not mine, it was now, in fact, mine.

We waited until there was no one in the hall and went to get one box for her room.  As soon as we stepped into the hall, it was Grand Central Station.  Our steward popped out of the supply closet and we started laughing uncontrollably.  I’m talking eyes watering, noses running, whole body shaking laughter.  The commotion caused two other stewards to come to see what was going on.  Two passengers came down the hall, carrying plates of food.  We made it to my room, trying not to pee and I started sliding one box towards the door.

Ryma, which apparently means He-Man in Canadian just picked up the box and started walking.  I did the math, twelve 750ml bottles weigh 19.8 pounds or 9 kilograms.    Factor in that the bottles were glass and the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow and it all makes sense.  That explains why she could pick it up and I couldn’t, she was only lifting half the weight.  🤔

We got to her room and I forgot if the doors open in or out, we finally made it in wheezing.  Mission accomplished.

After all that, we strolled around a little, stopping by various venues until I decided to go see the Aqua Show.  Ryma hit the hay early, she has an early excursion tomorrow.

The show had already been cancelled two or three times, it was a decent turnout.

A blurry picture, but it was nice of Jesus to show up, walking on water.

This guy flew in, spanking his monkey.  The woman in the bottom left had the appropriate reaction. Side note:  Check out his calves!  Somebody didn’t skip leg day.

Who needs strong men when you can have strong women?  Side note: The guy in the back appears to be having a heart attack.

Tomorrow, we’re in Labadee.  No, it was changed to Antigua.  No, it was changed to St Kitts.  I have an excursion booked and believe it or not, it involves alcohol.

O snap! My friend Maureen is back! And funny as ever. 😁

You know I went and priced this cruise when you mentioned it last week. It was a go until I looked up airfare which was close to $900 thanks to those crazy mouse lovers. OK we will drive. Hard NO! 17 hours! O and this small thing called a job got in the way too.

Have a great cruise my friend. Leave it to you to start out with a bang!! No place but up to go from here.

After lunch, I finally started working on my review and, as you know, I had a lot to get off my chest.  I worked on it until time for pre dinner cocktails.

Apparently, there’s a surveillance camera in my room, watching me trip over the Evian.

If you haven’t ordered an Evian coffee table yet, I highly recommend it.

Ryma had an Espresso Martini and I had a Greyhound (vodka and grapefruit).  I asked if I could have gin instead and Ryma said get Tangueray.  Good looking out, Ryma, it was delicious!

Well with the tripping sign, at least you would be falling on your face! I was in Italy and the tripping signs said you would flip and land on the top of your head! Hahaha

Great review, Maureen! I’ve been following along since you started, but having all kinds of problems trying to react or reply. 😱  Seems like I finally got that sorted out - at least for now!

I’m very glad you’re doing a B2B! Following you should keep me laughing right up to the day we board Indy at the end of next week. 😀🛳

Trust me when I tell you, I  was up early for the hotel breakfast and had to wait for Walgreens to open and fill my order.  I had plugged in the laptop overnight and had a few hours to kill before my Cortrans shuttle so I figured I’d start my review.  The  laptop  was still black.  More tears, I texted Ryma and told her I was thinking of just cancelling the whole thing.  She talked me down off the ledge and finally I was off to the port.

That giant, purple suitcase is the one they couldn’t find, sitting 10 feet in front of their desk with 2 black suitcases.  It is pretty discrete.  Notice the turkey peeking out of my carry on.  My friend lent me her turkey hat after I made three promises.  I would wear it for embarkation, I would wear it on Thanksgiving and I would try to get a picture wearing it with the Captain.

Promises made, promises kept.

From this angle it looks like a sorting hat. Hopefully Gryffindor but you would probably be Slytherin.

Wednesday was Antigua .  We found out on Thursday, 3 days before sailing that we weren’t going to Antigua, but St Kitts instead and we had to wait for them to open the Cruise Planner for St Kitts, which does not allow you ashore without a shore excursion. I scrambled to book an excursion that allowed for limited mobility and booked a House Tour and Rum Tasting, 7 shots of rum.

Spoiler alert for anybody out there, upset about the new rules, if you’re vaccinated, you can go ashore to the port area and book a tour through the St Kitts government.  I spoke to two men who booked a “tour” that was just a $7 cab ride to the beach.  Maybe we can stop threatening to burn Royal to the ground over this rule that is not theirs.

I had meant to ask about the scooter situation and if I could actually do the tour early in the cruise , but, you know, distractions.  So, I went to Shorex Wednesday morning and they didn’t think so.  They said it depended on which bus they used.  They said go to the pier and ask them a little before the tour.

Seriously enjoying your review.

So - were the people who took the taxi  in St Kitts allowed to reboard the ship?

Yes, it was a St Kitts government tour.  I've got turd Internet for hours now. I promise I'll catch up. Here's a little quiz for you guys. One person got kicked off the ship in St Kitts and one person signed up for a third week onboard. Guess which one is your girl? 🤔

I so enjoyed reading this, Maureen. I laughed, I cried (I spent three weeks in Italy without my luggage so I definitely felt your pain), it became a part of me (especially love Dale and the "naked" diver). If I ever see ducks laying around onboard, I will start looking for you! Thanks for the great review.

I love your trip report, very funny.

I am traveling alone in the 1/2022, I rented a rolling walker to help me.

Your trip sure got off to a rough start, if I broke something on my computer right before my trip.. I know right then my trip may be cursed.

I can not get over how much water you have in your room lol.

How you fitted all that water and a scooter in it is beyond me,

I can’t wait for the rest .

Well, since it seems like you’re still posting from the ship, I don’t think you’ve managed to get yourself kicked off - YET!  This must mean that we’ll have a third week to follow along with your onboard adventures! 😎😀
