Some years ago I was on a business trip to San Francisco. I know it was in July and I think it was for three or four days. I was joined there by two colleagues from Ohio. This was prior to the "business casual" standard of dress. So, we wore suits for meetings at the customer site. It turned out that the only casual clothes that my colleagues brought were, well, resort casual. "We thought we were coming to California." They were very uncomfortable walking to dinner in the evening. Yes, there is supposed to be some headed your way. It is supposed to be down here in SoCzl tomorrow morning, and it looks like we're going to get quite a few storms for the next week. I'm enjoying your posts, very much, @Coral. Thank you, very much. I lived in the SF Bay Area for 12 years. One time, some friends and I were celebrating a birthday in San Francisco. We took BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from where we lived in Fremont to SF. It was 80+ degrees when we left Fremont. 35 miles north in SF was about 60. We literally walked out of the BART station, walked across the street and into Gap to buy jackets. 2

Rare Coral Posted December 23, 2021 Author #81 Share Posted December 23, 2021 (edited) There was a Snowman Building contest today in the aft dining room. I didn't realize that I was supposed to sign up as a team earlier in the week. Some great individuals let me join their team. They were more the creative type while I watched them create a great Santa. I took pictures of the supplies and some near finished of our team and other team Santas. One could bring things from outside (from buffet, etc..) to make their Santa but for the most part - people used what was supplied to them. They also circulated a picture from a previous cruise. Here are some pics including the pic they used as an example. Fun was had by all! I did speak to some one on the Cruise Director's staff and they did say that we will have snow during the cruise. It won't be in the atrium due to COVID but will probably be out on deck once the weather warms up a bit. Christmas Carols by the pool with snow seems like fun! It still was pretty cool today. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be rain in Ensenada. My tour was cancelled due to lack of numbers. I guess that is a negative of having only 450 on a ship. I think one of my tours in Cabo is at risk of being cancelled also. It doesn't matter to me - my whole purpose of this trip was to relax - it wasn't to see anything. I am ok just hanging out with my book!

His name is Smit and goes by Smit or Smitty. Super nice guy. Our wait staff is Mark and Jeff. Great team! I am just slight aft of Club Class mini suites on Deck 9. We seem to be hanging out at One5 and like Desmond for a bartender. The staff have been amazing on this sailing.

Rare Coral Posted December 24, 2021 Author #95 Share Posted December 24, 2021 Today is Ensenada. My tour was cancelled and it is sort of overcast. I am going to stay on the ship and read. There will be a reading tonight of Twas the Night Before Christmas in the Wheelhouse Bar which sounds odd. That was always in the atrium.... Here are tonight's menus. We use OBC to gamble (use a little on almost every cruise), rarely more than $25. Sometimes we even end up with more than we started with. We got a casino offer a couple of years ago. It wasn't much...a % off the fare. Booked 5 cruises.😉 What is the procedure for using OBC in the casino (on machines)?

Place your medallion on the circle. Set up your account & password. Select amount you wish charged to your on board account, example $50. Your on board account is immediately charged and nets against any debit or credit (OBC) balance. The $50 is now in your casino account. Play away. You have to play at least some. You can't just use the slot as an ATM. When finished cash out. The cash out amount is now in your casino account. Before the cruise ends you have to visit the casino cashier to claim your balance. Pay attention to the cashier final close out time. Any casino balance not claimed is lost.
