Galveston, Bayonne, and Barcelona folks are happy 😉

So Fort Lauderdale closes down for the Summer.  Does this happen every year.

Obviously FT Lauderdale does not shut down  Royal just redeploys their ships elsewhere.

I'm talking about the port and not the city when it comes to Royal.

According to our shuttle driver, during fall, winter, and spring, Port Everglades tends to get a lot of ships repositioned from routes that mainly operate during the summer months (Alaska, Northern Europe, etc). Once May rolls around these ships leave for their summer routes.

It's a good time for the ships to be elsewhere, that's hurricane season.

I guess, Miami, Orlando and Tampa are immune to hurricanes.😄 Oh, I forgot Galveston.

Maybe this has already been covered and I apologize.  Any reason that this period of time shows nothing open for booking.

Take Harmony out of Miami if you want a 7  night cruise, Miami is very close to Ft, Lauderdale

Terminal 25 in Port Everglades is Celebrity's flagship terminal for all the latest and greatest ships (in their fleet) so it's not like the RCG abandons the port.  Every few years the cycle of ships results in a period when no RCI ships home port there.  2023 is no exception.

With Disney creating a presence in PEV plus with Princess and HAL there will likely still be plenty of cruise guests using PEV when RCI isn't.
