Favorite Food On Princess Cruise Line

Flourless chocolate cake on the first night in the dining room. Hands down my favorite dessert on Princess, it’s evolved over the years.  I’ve heard it’s changed a little bit or not offered at all. But I have not cruised since November 2019.

And the 50th anniversary - cake pops on formal night.

The buffet also had flourless chocolate cake on one of my recent cruises on the first night. I had a piece up there as well, and it was better than in the dining room. I was tempted to save a piece for later but did not. There's always a mini cheesecake.

They had no explanation for that lack or for the lack of ice cream. I heard that the ice cream was available at MDR lunch so I really don't understand that one.

Thanks for your answer.  I too love both those desserts.  Sorry they no longer offer in MDR

I’m a big fan of their chilled soup appetizers, the escargot, and the afternoon tea sandwiches. If it’s Chilean sea bass night, I often stop up at the buffet later in the evening to see what their version is… once they had a lovely pan-fried sea bass with butter sauce, and I definitely went for Second Dinner that night.

The two dishes that stood out to me were the Twice Baked Goat Cheese Souffle, and the Salted Caramel Creme Brulee Cheesecake in Crown Grill.   I am customarily a chocolate dessert gal, but I completely bypassed chocolate in the name of that creme brulee cheesecake the second time we dined there.

The Beef Wellington was also solid.

Peanut Butter Cookies........In the "OLD DAYS"

On the Discovery in May they did not have the same Zing as they used to have.

In those days taking a plate full of warm Peanut Butter Cookies back to your cabin could be hazardous to your health and well being.  😵

Think about getting into an elevator that has a crowd in it and you are holding your plate of cookies. 😁

I agree wholeheartedly with many of these- Love Boat Dream, Cheesecake, Chocolate Flourless cake,   Fettuccini Alfredo, the souffles (esp choc hazelnut),  and some others they may not even  have anymore:

 IC's Gianduja Obsession
 Pea Soup& Potato Soup
 Griddled Broccoli and Parmesan cake
 Dim Sum
 Chicken Korma
 Veggie Burrito
 Goulash
 Beef Bourgignon
 Empanada
 Four Cheese Gnocchi

I haven’t been on a Princess cruise in 11 years ( going in 4 days!) , but at that time , I thought they had the best food of any ocean cruise line I’d been on, and I think I’ve been on seven others .

Street tacos at Ernesto’s Grill (or on the app)

House made potato chips (on the app) for each port departure.

Macarons from the evening hang tag appetizer menu.

Grilled ham and cheese croissant sandwiches at the International Cafe

The “morning cocktail” on the app. It’s nonalcoholic and refreshing/yummy.

Love that the dinner buffet is almost the same as the dinner at MDR

It's gotten much closer to the dining room food in recent years.

They must be listening to the people complaining on Cruise Critic.

On the Majestic last week my faves were:

Crown grill lamb chops

crown grill bone broth potato.

noodle bar

International cafe chocolate chocolate chip cookies. Amazing every afternoon with a double espresso!

All the berry cobblers!

we only ate at the buffet for breakfast. I enjoyed whatever egg cup they served each day.
