nelblu Posted July 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2022 For those that have taken advantage of this benefit when do you apply. When you book or close to sail date. Got 2 sails this year one in early September and the other in early December—is it too early to apply?

I've submitted more than a year from sailing ... submitted 9/4/2022 sailing on 6/12/2021. Edited July 6, 2022 by Another_Critic

lovescats5 Posted July 10, 2022 #13 Share Posted July 10, 2022 The website given says 3 weeks out. Do they remember to give you the OBC for cruises a year later? And how do you know they have credited your cruises with the OBC?

Benefit is non-transferable and not available to employees, agents of Royal Caribbean Group or its subsidiaries and affiliates, travel agents and tour operators. Benefit is not combinable with interline rates, travel agent rates, and employee friends and family rates. Benefit cannot be redeemed for chartered sailings, any Galapagos sailings or complimentary sailings.

LeeW Posted July 10, 2022 #17 Share Posted July 10, 2022 Sent in request Monday for cruises from late August through April 2023. Nine emails showing applied OBC appeared on Wednesday and in Cruise Planner.

Typically I apply after final payment, Royal says 3 weeks. 48 hours before the end of our last cruise we decided to stay on for the next. Applied for the Shareholders benefit the next morning (24 hours before sailing) and the credit was on our new sailing that night. How's that for service. Tlbecker1 Posted July 11, 2022 #23 Share Posted July 11, 2022 Also make sure that you double check that the benefit has been added. We have had some fall off of our bookings, due to Royal changing some of the cruises that we had booked on the Navigator and Anthem.

After restart...and rescheduling a bunch of formerly cancelled cruises....I had a list of 8 of them I did all at once. Was simply a matter of sending the list with ships, dates, and reservation numbers all on one page. No big deal. It helps me not to forget, if I apply as soon as I book. I just consider it a part of the booking procedure. I have "just a few" booked for the future as well. Some cruises a bit longer than others. 😉

The portal was quick and easy and let me do both cruises at the same time.
