IPB4IGO Posted August 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2022 For our upcoming October cruise, HAL is offering a Have It All package for $45/day/person. Note that if you have the HAL Cruise Protection Plan, adding HIA increases your premium, by $220 in the case of our 16-day cruise.

IPB4IGO Posted August 21, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Somebody just told me that this HIA package is always available at this price. I guess it isn't "news"!
Rare Mary229 Posted August 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2022 I was offered even a lower rate within 48 hours. The offer came when I needed to call for a last minute potential change. I think if you ask the right person onboard you would get a good offer. I remember being offered Club Orange on the Koningsdam once onboard for some very low rate
NCTribeFan Posted August 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2022 I added HIA to my Alaska B2B at that rate, and I added it to my Rotterdam TA for next spring. Still considering adding it to the 2 5-night sailings I added on at the end of the TA. I added Club Orange to those, but since I get drinks in the casino, not sure I "need" HIA for another 10 days. Maybe I can get unopened beers during the TA and stuff my little mini-fridge full. 😄

I remember being offered Club Orange on the Koningsdam once onboard for some very low rate I was offered have it all for the second week of a two week b2b. That was on a Friday for a Sunday cruise. Price was $50 usd per day so I'm not sure I'd count on it being discounted. Caused all sorts of billing issues because it was last minute plus it was the koningsdam. Why leave anything on the table you don't need to. Edited August 21, 2022 by Florida_gal_50
Rare boards Posted August 21, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2022 What are daily HIA charges per person per cabin? I am sure they have increased since we last cruised in 2019?
NCTribeFan Posted August 21, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Is there a set rate? I typically look at the fare (without signing in) both with and without and see what the difference is. I'm solo, so I just divide that diff by the # nights.

julia Posted August 21, 2022 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2022 I had the HIA added to our 35 night Kdam cruise at $50/pp/pd. This was significantly less than booking WITH the HIA (like by $4k). TA covered grats. Yay!

FlorenceItaly Posted August 21, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2022 I just checked and my May 2023 16 day(balcony, casino offer) cruise is showing $50pp, per day. The package would add $1600 to my reservation, and my now $99pp insurance would go up. For us, we are going to pay as we go.
Rare Mary229 Posted August 21, 2022 #14 Share Posted August 21, 2022 For those worried about insurance it might be worth getting a Chase Sapphire card. The limits would easily cover the above cruises.

Damcruiser Posted August 22, 2022 #18 Share Posted August 22, 2022 My card won't process. Server Busy, wrong address, try another card messages. I booked our cruise yesterday. I was offered the 50% off but the computer won't process the purchase of the "cart" Called HAL and 30 minutes later was told that the T/A has to process it. Yes if you use a Travel Agent, all changes/additions go through that person.

I wasn't speaking from personal experience, haven't used a TA since 2009, not counting a mail-flyer offer that my husband booked. But the "TA-only" policy is posted on CC pretty constantly. I had it for a while as a short term offer on one cruise
