@summer slopeI would think that if it is a family emergency it might be better for family to call Holland America head office they would get in touch with the ship and that way leave a message on your phone in the cabin. Than you can go to Guest services where they might be able to help you to call home. We did not have a cellphone at the time .

It happened to us a few years ago that our very best family friend had passed away unexpected and after I received the message in our cabin Guest services allowed me to call home on a special line with help from the operator on board and I was not charged at all for calling home . Our call was at least 15 minutes long .

They were wonderful and very supportive !

I will call my TA today about possible wheel chair assistance to board.

hopefully she can help and I will see how I am in a day or two.

No idea on how to use a scooter.  Hopefully I can get by with the crutches by then.  🤞

Most of Europe use 0800 as a Toll free number followed by 7 numbers.

In Spain the toll free number is 900 followed by a 6 digit number.

I"m sorry I didn't explain the need.  We need to verbally tell our money manager something.  He won't take our word for it before we leave.

Holland America’s KNOW BEFORE YOU GO has it under “Communication at Sea”.
