If the itinerary, dates, and price all match my needs it might very well be worth the trouble.

CruiseMomTX Posted December 11, 2022 #28 Share Posted December 11, 2022 We booked our first B2B today so are interested to see how it will work out. Sailing on the Adventure 1/5 in a Jr. Suite and 1/9 in a balcony. Booking this close there was not an option to have the same cabin on both so unfortunately will have to pack and move cabins. Do we pack and leave our bags in our cabin that morning instead of putting out the night before? Will there be a lunch involved?

Rare vacationlover_mn Posted December 14, 2022 #34 Share Posted December 14, 2022 On a related note- if we are keeping the same cabin for a B2B, should we notify someone? It’s a suite… should I let the suite concierge (or whatever he/she is called) know?

Having the same cabin is my first rule when booking a B2B. Not all of us book the two cruises at the same time. For instance we had a 9 day in a grand suite that we booked 1.5 years out, but then a year later the casino comped us me the 5 day sailing prior. The casino wasn’t going to give us a free grand suite (even if the same suite had been available available by that time) and I wanted the 2 week b2b even if in different cabins. That situation has happened twice. Of course it would be great to have a B2B in the same cabin, but sometimes that doesn’t work out. This time he said pack yourself up, I'm going on vacation but will see your suitcase gets moved. I thought his wording was because he was leaving the ship on vacation but just got my b2b letter. It clearly says please have your luggage packed and ready before 9 am. I havent changed cabins since May, so may just not know new protocols but in may leave your hanging stuff, and they moved it. Here is a camera shot of the b2b letter telling me to pack my luggage. I'm packed light so np, just surprised. I was talking to a cabin steward and they are already aware of the new policy coming service to your cabin once a day. Better than raising tips again so soon. Why do you have Shari & Neal's letter and not your own?

That's a good question who its addressed to. Got a random bottle of wine last night, said from front desk. A kind I dont drink. My friends are onboard and got no amenities but their kids got a cheese plate and 2 bottles of wine. Just my 2 friends are barely diamond plus 1 amenity each. I just looked and you are right of course, that letter isnt even addressed to me. I actually now that I think about it went down to customer service last week since I didnt have a b2b letter where and when to meet. Customer service printed that letter, so it's not my cabin steward to blame. She asked someone 3 times to get me that letter. Lol its addressed to someone else. I am on allure and it has been more of a cattle call and long lines. I asked her if I'm on the b2 list since i didnt get a letter in my cabin. I went and asked for the earliest walk off maybe yesterday for sunday and it was noisy but i thought that was clear. I seem to have confused him when i kept saying i have one carry on. No other luggage. He asked me I'll bet 10 times. ONE carry on. I want earliest walk off with your own luggage. Still waiting for the promised confirmation. I get 2 amenities. It's been confirmed multiple times my pick is fruit truffles. Yet every time I cruise I go over and over this with them. And there is a long line. Last week he confirmed fruit truffles. This week I get 1 fruit truffle and 1 bottle of wine I dont drink. Back again. He says the problem is it says beach towel. What. .. not a word about this the previous week and he goes on about how others are too lazy to change it. .. to me he should have fixed it the previous week. I shouldn't have to find them every single cruise to fix. He blamed others lol. Even though I'd talked to him last week about the exact same thing. I dont remember how many cruises I've been told the beach towels are removed as my choice. Many. And I've called crown & anchor who confirmed fruit truffles. .. I dont want wine. Or them picking some random kind I for sure dont like. This shouldnt be so hard. Most say oh well whatever they send I'll drink. I dont hardly drink. Dont want wine. I did move myself but the new steward had my cabin cleaned early so i could move in early last sunday. That went fine, doing it myself lol.

Only complaint is these 2 b2b on allure were the worst Mdr pairings I've ever encountered. First the 5 who wanted me gone NOW last week. This week I'm the 11th at a family ten top. With 10 chairs. You would think they would have reassigned me to new Mdr table but nope, I'm still the 11th at a ten top with ten family members. I asked the floor mgr last week if he could check and this week put me with singles or non linked family. He assured me he would. Good job. I have no place to sit. Ribs in WJ so np tonight, but it's a bit annoying. Seems it was me who needed to ask? I would have thought once their mistake was pointed out to them they would have reassigned me to a table where I can sit in the Mdr. Small gripe overall. The rest no issues. Crew nice and friendly.

Wait...........they stuck you with a family of 10? At a 10-top? That is absurd and unacceptable. No one in their right mind would do that. That's not just an "oops". That's ridiculous. I'll put it in my feedback but I went last night and was told I was still assigned to the 10 top. Actually the 10 top are friends and that's why I'm sure they are 5 linked family cabins. When I arrived the first night my friend said Jxxx there are only 10 chairs. So i left and went to find someone and they tried to sit me alone at a 6 top. I said no, so they found a 2 top, but so much for requesting to share a table. Still assigned as the 11th at a 10 top. Too late now to fix it. But it will be in my feedback, they should have reassigned me to another Mdr table once the problem was known. Both floor managers are aware both weeks were a issue, deck 5 and last week deck 4. I didnt know it was on me to ask for new assignment. I assumed sunday it would be done, and wasnt. Now it's too late. But I will have it as feedback. Count. 11 with a family of 10 at a ten top, fix it. I shouldn't have to shuffle for a Mdr table to go back. I was going to WJ tonight for the ribs anyway. So it doesnt make a lot of difference at this pt, but shows me the dining supervisors arent great. Edited December 17, 2022 by firefly333
Cigar King Posted December 17, 2022 #46 Share Posted December 17, 2022 I still think the situation you describe, 11 guests at a 10 top, is unacceptable, but did you just say that they offered you two different solutions and you didn't accept them? Eating alone bytes, IMO, but perhaps somebody else would have joined you had you chosen to move.

Eating alone bytes, IMO, but perhaps somebody else would have joined you had you chosen to move. That night last sunday they tried to find a table for the ONE night only. Just a place for me to eat dinner Sunday night. It was 5:15 and we had a 5 pm time so they just walked around looking for a open table for last sunday. They never offered to give me a new Mdr table. I just assumed that they would do that and as in the past send me the new table number. That's what I get for assuming someone would take responsibility and assign me a new table. Floor mdr mgrs as I said the one thing in 2 weeks wrong, rest was good. I specifically asked last week if that floor mgr could check and seat me with some singles or at least not a whole family. He said he checked... and some how missed this was one whole family, and too many assigned. He gets a F. Both mdr floor mgrs. Good thing I did a special request to NOT be seated with a family. I dont have anything normally against families except if they do pay restaurants all of them go and I'm only left, so that's why I asked not with one family. ... he couldnt have looked very well to think this was not a family. Friends so i know they had 5 consecutive cabins and same last names. In the past pre covid I've had some interesting mixed tables. This was the worst in 20 years, both weeks. I get it crew is hard to come by.
