Just an FYI for inquiring minds, she makes baby items and donates them to hospitals.  ❤️

That’s very sweet and all, but let’s not lose sight of the most important question of the thread:  Was Laura the Pinnacle saving seats in the Lounge with Knitting Needles?😉😂

I'm not going to challenge anyone saving a seat holding knitting needles. 😁

That stopped after the pandemic. Kinda sad.

Now it's just something to keep her busy in morning, or out of the casino

I don't believe so, other than for me

Too bad.  She got me started crocheting for the homeless - before the pandemic.  They were very appreciative when I donated three bags full of hats of all sizes and baby blankets, especially because Florida had a cold spell at the time.  When we moved to Hawaii, I stopped (just the start of the pandemic).  Send her my aloha.

Well, I guess I lost this round of “Pinnacle Clue”😀

We’re only Diamond and never went to the DL during their previous happy hours.  We only went to the DL to read or play sudoku on our iPads when hardly anybody was there.  The library was always too loud.  🙄 We only used vouchers outside the DL.  So - we’ve never been in the Concierge or Suite Lounge. 💁

Just like many people who chose to retire earlier than they planned due to the pandemic affecting the job market, I wonder if the 2X point reward system in place for reservations during the pandemic accelerated the amount of D and D+ cruisers generated?  Was it just because experienced cruisers were more willing to book cruises early in the start-up?  Are they outnumbering the new cruisers onboard creating the space problem in the lounges?

Getting to D and D+ is more feasible for most cruisers using 2X cruise points than achieving PIN status during a two-year time period.

Was it like this before the March 2020, shutdown of cruises?

I cannot say I have seen appreciable difference in the amount of diamond and diamond plus cruisers on the trips I have been on.

it would be interesting if there was a way to calculate the number of Crown And Anchor points, lost during the shut down versus the number of Crown And Anchor points distributed during the 2X promotion

What about the opposite question--how many tier members expired due to the pandemic.🙏

You are correct but I would appear to be a very insensitive person if I hoped the opposite. 😔

It's not being insensitive is that we always talk about additions to tier level(s), but never the opposite of the ledger.

Exactly,  with all these d+'s swearing off cruising with royal because they lost access to a couple of C lounges the D lounge is going to be deserted. 😉

Maybe they should request Royal to remove their C&A status/rank in protest.  Then we really have room in the DL.🤣

Works for us. 🍻 As long as there's some cheese to snack on and servers to bring us our pre diner drinks we are happy. 🙂

Yeah, that way after noisily announcing their departure they could not quietly return for a cappuccino in the DL when they miss C&A benefits.

And we'll be losing even more now with the drink voucher time change 😇
