AnnaNicole Posted February 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2023 Has anyone had a recent experience at the Sostice Murano restaurant? How was it? Menu? We were able to snag a first night at a reasonable time for $100 all in. Is it worth it any more? Service? Food quality?
Rare Fly and Sail Posted February 3, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2023 You should be able to view the menu in the app. It was solid when we went.

jelayne Posted February 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2023 We were there in December and it was excellent.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 3, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2023 We were on the same Cruise as @jelayne and had a wonderful dinner in Murano. I don't recall anything had changed on their menu from previous cruises. My favorites are - Dover Sole, Rack of Lamb and Lobster. Service was exceptional with Lobster being prepared table side and Dover Sole de-boned table side. It definitely is worth it. In my opinion it is the best Specialty on the M and S Class. I'll reserved opinion on E-Class Eden after I try their new menu in April. 2
Northern Aurora Posted February 3, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2023 We dined in the Solstice Murano both in June and September. Each time it was excellent as usual. I don't recall any menu changes. It has been the same menu for a number of years. 1
mrgabriel Posted February 3, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2023 We were in Murano on Solstice in early January. The meal was excellent, as always! 1
haynesra Posted February 4, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2023 We dined in Murano on Solstice is May of last year on Alaska cruise. It was great experience, our favorite meal of entire cruise. From wine selection, apps, to main course, it was all great and service was very good also. 2

Eden is my favorite fleet-wide although I haven't yet been on the Beyond so haven't tried Le Voyage yet 1

leo72976 Posted February 4, 2023 #11 Share Posted February 4, 2023 We dined at Murano on Solstice in October and loved it. The food was top notch and the service was amazing. We took advantage of the first night pricing and it was fairly empty. My wife and I both agree that Murano is a new tradition for us.

WanderingTheWorld Posted February 4, 2023 #13 Share Posted February 4, 2023 @AnnaNicole, thanks for asking this question, and thanks to everyone who responded. I just used some of our OBC to book Murano the first night of our cruise. I'm looking forward to it! ☺️

I almost mentioned that in my original reply but couldn’t remember the last time we had the cheese cart in Murano - it’s been awhile. No cheese cart & no three tiered sweet tray. Not that I ever need those extra calories!

Does one stand out over the other?

All the times we have dined in Murano the cheese cart is available but I think you have to ask for it. I have found that they have reduced their selection over the years. I always enjoy a glass of port to accompany the cheese and they are happy to oblige. I usually find that the cheese course and dessert is too much so I choose one or the other. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
Mark_T Posted February 4, 2023 #17 Share Posted February 4, 2023 The cheese course is still there, but it is delivered as a plated cheese selection. Similarly the Dover sole and the table-side deboning was missing from the Murano menu on Eclipse last month.

On the Equinox last November. On both occasions, the sole was filleted table side. Cheese was plated the first time but offered from the trolley the second. Table side preparation and the cheese trolley made the evenings that much more enjoyable. Cheers!
