Club orange on Rotterdam

Cost is $25pp/day on 7 day cruises and $15pp/day for longer cruises. The menu is the same as MDR with one extra dinner entree. There is a separate dining room located near the MDR- all indoor seating. One of the best benefits is the cabin upgrade within the same category if availability exists. There is a limit on CO members since all Neptune suites automatically are able to eat there.

Only on the newer Pinnacle Class ships, the other ships in the fleet have a section in the MDR reserved for Club Orange.

Cruise has to be more than 13 days for the price to drop to $15pp/day. Our upcoming 11 night cruise on the Rotterdam was still $25pp/day. Also be advised that there is NO special event for Orange Club members as advertised. At least there wasn't one on our NS December cruise. When I inquired at the service desk, they just scratched their heads and told us to go to The Orange Night Party which is open to everyone on the ship and was a mad house in the BB King area, which we left.

No, there has been no special event on the koningsdam either the 3 times I've been on the ship.

We found the accommodations at the Orange Club dining room on the NS to be great just last December. Service was pristine and food was served actually hot!

We agree.  We found the chairs to be comfortable, they just didn't look as classy as the Rotterdam photo above.  They were curved wood-frame backs instead of upholstered backs.  The service was great though.

I've read elsewhere that when the Nieuw Statendam was being built, the area that is now Club Orange had been designed to be an "America's Test Kitchen" venue.  That concept left HAL before the NS finished construction but apparently the ship was far enough along that they kept the same furniture, flooring, and wall coverings and just redesignated the room as Club Orange.  It's really nice but you can picture how it could be a Test Kitchen with about 6 high tables configured with electrical plugs and vent hoods overhead and TV screens facing them where they could watch the chefs do their cooking demo.

Perhaps they will reconfigure this dining room when the ship goes into drydock this fall.

Before it was club orange it was a gastropub.  I loved it and it was super reasonable in price.  That concept was maybe around 6 months to a year.

We visited that space on the Koningsdam when it was the test kitchen. I loved watching (and tasting) the creations that were made there.
