I have to pay an adult price for my 13 year old daughter and I am reading she will not be  allowed in the solarium pool on Odessey out of Cape Liberty...Why??  If I pay any adult price for her to cruise on royal, why is she excluded??

She's excluded from the Casino too. And the Adult comedy show and...

Life isn't fair.

Because cabins are based on double occupancy, regardless of age.

Then why have the "kids sale free" sale??..and for the record, I am paying for three adults...which one can not join us in the solarium on Odessey (or any other ship)

Theme parks charge adult price for 10 and up.  Yet, 10 year olds have restrictions.  That is just the way life is.  If she looks and acts mature likely nobody will say anything.  The goal is to keep the solarium as a quiet, mature place for people without children.

By that logic I guess she should be able to buy and drink alcohol too.

Their Company Their Rules. Some Businesses Kid cutoff is 10yrs old, others 12, 14... Was Single Parent raising 3 young Kids, 2, 4 & 7yr olds when I started taking them On Royal Cruises. Paid Full Price for all their Childhood. Kids Fee? No such thing then and actually during Summer Months and Holidays Passenger 3-4 cost more then 1-2. Now I Cruise SOLO on longer Radiance Class that have almost no Family's with at most 10-20 Kids, to me..Heaven!

I bet they won't let her buy the drinks package either!!!!  Airlines charge adult prices from what 12? Cruise lines are no different. Our children are all grown up and we have grandchildren but now and again like a bit of peace and quiet so the solarium is a nice place to go and chill with a lot of noise. There are lots of areas for children on the ship so not really an issue is it.

Most airlines charge the same price for any passenger ticketed in their own seat, regardless of age.  And they won't (knowingly) serve Karen's 16 year-old a drink either.

And (gasp!) if her little angel were 14 they wouldn't even let her sit in an exit row😪

When I cruise solo and pay the single supplement, why don't I get a second complimentary lobster on MDR lobster night?  Why don't I get to reserve an empty seat next to me in the theater and an empty lounge chair at CocoCay and an empty seat in a lifeboat?

After all, I paid for them and am entitled t to them😭

My kids are adults, but even when they were babies they were charged the same amount as adults. Babies get charged adult fares on cruises unless there is a special going on and they can’t even go into any pools.

Anyone else surprised that the OP upset about this has over 1200 posts on CC? seems like a single or low double digit complaint.

Should know by now that experienced cruisers with petty complaints about well-publicized policies don't get much sympathy when their sense of entitlement gets offended.

So ...why charge adult prices if she is excluded from all adult venues??

Are you not aware that there is no such thing as a child's price. The price is the price irespective of the persons age.  I'm not allowed into the teen club.  Should I get a discount since this service is excluded from me.

That is irrelevant.  Isn't the child in question 13 or 14?  KSF program has nothing to do with this.
