What a fantastic meal. We were both stuffed. Once we left Bonsai Teppanyaki we were surprised that there were still floor seats available at Center Stage. We went down and grabbed two seats for the Captain’s Toast and Celestial Strings. The Captain’s Toast began at 6:45pm and was hosted by Lee, who then introduced the Senior Staff and Officers…..

Next up was Celestial Strings. Sitting in the floor seats has it’s pros and cons. You are right in the center of the action, as the cast performs all around you, which is pretty cool. Sometimes it’s hard to see the action to the side or behind you, but there are very few seats in the entire Center Stage area where you can see everything. Staff will inform you that once the show starts you can’t leave your seat for obvious reasons. If you positively have to leave your seat during the performance, they ask you to raise your hand, and they will tell you when it’s safe to leave. Got it? Patti took close to 80 pictures during the performance, but obviously I won’t post them all. Here are some of her best…..

That looks delicious and I love watermelon! Do you know what's in it?

So Cool! Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing! Hope you enjoyed the cruise as much as we did. :classic_laugh:

We really did, I was worried that this might not be a great cruise as I feel Carnival had failed in their attempt at larger boats in the last class of ships, but they nailed it in Excel class. This was one of our best cruises. I really hope Carnival does not remove the free specialty restaurants on the Excel class ships. I think this would be bad.

Happy wife, happy life! We booked the 6 day cruise before the 15 day one making it a B2B for 2 reasons. First,  now we'll be going to and leaving NYC on Saturdays thus avoiding the weekday traffic chaos. Secondly, with all the priority people going on the 15 day, check in will be a little crazy. 😀

You are correct, Sir about happy wife.  Smart move about the B2B.  We can't swing it as I am already 2 days short of vacation days for the 12 days I need already for the 18 days off I am taking.  LMAO

Glad to have you along once again! Did you cancel your Greenland cruise? :classic_cool:

Ummmm......ummmmm.....I plead the 5th? 😏  We have decided to branch out and try a few new lines to keep things "fresh" for us. We noticed on our last cruise that we have become a bit to....what's the word I am trying to think of....crud I can't think of it. Basically, things are not as "wow! check it out! something we havent done before!" for us anymore, but I don't want to get bored with Carnival, so we are swapping things up a bit.

I understand completely. How many of the same cruises have we been booked on, yet somehow, we've never cruised together? I think you're trying to avoid me! :classic_biggrin:

The Celebration was docked by 7:30am. We decided to skip breakfast again today, but I went down to Javablue for a coffee. The line was very short this morning.

Today we are heading over to Paradise Beach. We booked ahead of time online for $64 per person, and we splurged for a daybed for an additional $50.

We were off the ship at 8:15am. The Carnival Breeze was just pulling into the pier across the way…..

i-VkjJd6H-X2.jpg

We made our way over to the taxi stand, which at this time was pretty deserted…..

The taxi fare for the two of us was $17 plus tip. Fifteen minutes later we were pulling into Paradise Beach…..

This high-top table was also reserved for our use…..

We met our servers, and in no time at all I was enjoying my first beer of the day…..
