Just back from round the UK on Regal Princess.

Twice we had drinks added that we hadn’t had.

We were on a Drinks Package anyway so shouldn’t have incurred any charges.

When we checked we had never been in the bar where they were supposed to have been ordered.

Last month on Caribbean Princess there were bar charges 3 different times on our account that we did not make. I went to guest services and they removed all of them but it was a waste of my time.

We’ve been on 9 cruises since the start up and there has only been 1error and it was on Holland America and in our favor, about 4 days into the cruise we were given an additional 250 dollars in OBC, being the honest fellow that I am I went down to passenger services and asked why we were given the extra OBC, after about a 15 minute investigation it was discovered that it was an error and was corrected.

On any of our cruises I made it a habit to periodically check our folio for charges. Mostly to keep track of my bar charges. Once in a while I find a bar charge or a missing cancelled excursion refund. I would shake my head but feel sorry for the folks standing in long lines at guest services the night before the cruise ended and the morning of trying to fix their accounts.

Got home and two extra debits appeared on my credit card account. Dated on last day of the cruise. 

Rang Princess. Oh they will come off in a few days. They could be authorisation costs. 

They did, but I’m suspicious that if I hadn’t challenged them they would have stayed on. 
Sorry this has never happened on any other cruise line.

Why not use crew chat so that you can avoid risking a line?

Those are authorization charges and happen all the time with various businesses including FedEx. They always fall off

These errors have been going on since I started cruising in 1990. It is no big deal. Just. Check your folio occasionally and don’t get so upset. Like you have never had an error on a bar or restaurant tab in your life. Or do you not get out much

Our Discovery Princess cruise end of Feb 23 we had to go to the service desk almost daily to have charges that we didn’t make taken off our account 

 

There were usually other cruisers there doing the same thing

We learned early on in our 40-year history of cruising to check account regularly.

On our last Princess cruise, #30, we were billed for photos.  We never had one picture taken.  Rather than deal with the front desk we went right to the photo dept.  We talked with two wonderful employees who quickly found who these photos belonged to and took all charges off our bill.  Quick and excellent service.

We had our folio down to us owing Princess $1.27 which was perfect.  Fortunately, last night I checked again to see we now had a NON-REFUNDABLE credit of $94+ for refunded port charges.  We immediately cashed out in the casino.  We were given NO notice of this credit and wonder how many people lost out.  Princess now owes us $4.27 which they can gladly have.  Pays to check!

Ugh, we got off the Royal on Saturday and noticed that we were charged over $79 for "bar" on Friday. We had the plus package and had been checking daily and there were no errors until of course the last day which we didn't notice until we were off the ship. What is the best course of action to have those charges removed? The chat feature?

If you have a CVP I would start there as they can go directly to customer relations

Funny. I’ve never encountered a single issue with my on board statement on other cruise lines. Princess’s systems are definitely the weak link in their chain.

I don't so I used the chat yesterday. He filed a refund request for me and told me I should see it in 6-8 weeks. I'm kicking myself for not checking our account one last time before departure on Sat. morning, would have been so much easier then!

I filed a refund, waited... called and found out they had denied both of my claims. I never was notified about any conclusion. Then the resons why they were denied didnt even match what i had stated on the claim!! For example, one was for an excursion that was not fulfilled do to being stuck in traffic on the tour bus and not making it to the space center. I explained that on my claim. Reson it was denied was because they didnt see where I had canceled the tour on my folio.
