Avoid Venezia at all costs.

Perhaps the length of your cruise brought out a different clientele , in fact I am sure of it.. BUT it still doesn't fix the fact that this ship if in desperate need of cleaning, and repairs.

We are all waiting for pictures of this mess you speak of? I was on the Venezia in August and it was spotless. Received a 100 from the CDC on 06/19/2023 and was also inspected by the Canada Port Authority in August while I was on the ship and received another 100.

Sounds like your attitude is just fit for a more "elegant" cruise line and here just to stir the pot.

I also get why there was so much rift raft on this ship vs RCL

How rude and insulting. This is one of the reasons I avoid RCL at all costs.

I was on the ship for 15 days and never noticed anything is desperate need of cleaning and repairs.

Whatever OP's experience was with this ship, its his story to tell.  There are many times I shake my head at some of the opinions and statements here as they are nothing like what we may have experienced when cruising.

Whether you agree or not doesn't matter, we all don't have the same likes and dislikes and all of our expectations differ as well (and some people like to be contrary no matter the subject matter).  It is the internet after all, take it for what its worth 🙄.

This is true, but whenever anyone starts saying something like "there were stains everywhere" or "all of the food was inedible" I break out my salt shaker, because rarely are things that bad (as many posters who have sailed on the same ship have attested to).

I did not take pictures of the deteriorating ship. Go on the ship, and see for yourself. Obviously the CDC report is a joke. I am not going to answer any more questions or react to any more posts. I want to put this pathetic cruise behind me now , and not ever think of it again.

Sailed her in early Sept after 6 cruises on RCCL.  Easily comparable to any RCCL ship.  My wife and I took hundreds of pictures of the ship, all over the place and did not see these stains everywhere.  Then again you have no pictures to prove they exist and the ship is falling apart so there is that.  There are many threads on CC showing lots of pictures, none of which show what you are claiming either.  That said you obviously didn't care for it and that is entirely your right to say so.

We are booked on her again and cannot wait to get back onboard.  About my only complaint was staff weren't the most friendly.  Then again our itinerary was altered and all 3 ports were missed and the previous 2 sailings had changes as well.  I am sure staff took the brunt of that.

…The main dinning area is like an old, outdated convention center…

I haven’t sailed her, yet.  3.5 weeks to go!  Yet this line alone has me questioning the veracity.  I’ve seen pictures and videos of the dining (not dinning) room - both of them, actually - and I find them quite beautiful!

Unless you meant the buffet.  But I would never consider the buffet the “main dinning area”…

Carnival would beg to differ I would reckon, the buffet is the only place that's open for every meal.

Unlike many others here, I have no skin in the game. I do not own $CCL or $DIS (unless my retirement accounts happen to own it, I don't pay attention to the stocks my funds own), it makes absolutely no difference to me if you go on a cruise or not.

Have you been on the ship?

The main dining room is the only place with “main dining” in the name!  😀

Sure but Carnival doesn't call it a main dining room. They call it whatever Costa called it, so they didn't have to pay for a new sign.

The main dining rooms on every ship have names.  Nevertheless, they are the main dining rooms…

True, but I don't really consider them main dining areas anymore on Carnival ships. They're never open for lunch, for one thing. The buffet by comparison has food for every meal. Obviously it's up for interpretation though. Small nitpick.

Depending on the ship, I can go an entire cruise never dining ONCE at the buffet, so I definitely don’t consider it the main dining area!  😉

The Venezia is basically a brand new ship. It was launched in 2019 and only cruised for a short time before Covid. After Covid, she only sailed for a little while before being signed over to Carnival. We just spent 21 days on her and never saw what the OP was talking about, other than the casino being smoky. I can agree with that. As far as everything being stained everywhere! No way. Urine smell in the casino. Really?

Sure, people spill things and you will find some stains, but that's normal, and they do get addressed. If the OP was so upset, why didn't he take pictures to document it? I've posted hundreds of pictures so far in my review, and I'm not seeing it. And before you say that I wouldn't post them if they existed, I have always told it like it is. I show the good, the bad, the indifferent. I am not a shill for Carnival, and I don't gamble enough to get free cruises.

In three weeks aboard her not once did we encounter any rude crew members. It was quite the opposite. Perhaps the OP was rude to them first. I have a feeling, and I could be wrong, that the OP was on the Bermuda cruise that didn't make it to Bermuda, and is showing his displeasure here.

And this is exactly why I read your reviews and rely on you and @Saint Greg for information.  Open and honest and not picking on 1 thing and blowing it out of proportion.  Our choice to eat in buffet and if the set up is an issue we will figure it out.  We have been on Horizon and Vista so we know what the casino will be like and will decide to play or not.

They could eliminate the buffet altogether and I wouldn't miss it. Carnival has a number of other venues to choose from for all meals.

We take pride in the fact that NEVER in what is quickly approaching 200 days have we ever eaten dinner in the Lido buffet. Perfect for breakfast/lunch.

I've tried the buffet a few times for dinner, and almost always wonder Why???? When there is pizza, the Deli, and more to try. I have even started paying for Fish and Chips occasionally because have been really good.

Seaday Brunch, anyone?   Y'know, that thing that sounds like "lunch" because it includes lunch?

I spent 13 days on Venezia on a B2B in Sept. Like @Jamman54 I report the good, bad and in-between in my Live review along with pictures.

I did comment on a few minor things needing attention; the only one I didn't have a picture of (and likely didn't mention) was a stain on 1 chair in the MDR that I saw during Muster.

Other than the numerous missing door scan lock plate covers, 20230917_124848.thumb.jpg.4edf6e8fba58fc32a0e31ec2917d5f4f.jpgall the items I mentioned were isolated to my cabin - mentioned with supporting pictures in my review.

I did say the crew was fantastic and friendly - they absolutely were and that contributed to a great cruise! Not once did I pass crew in a hallway or anywhere that they didn't greet me, smile, ask about my day, etc. The crew on Venezia was fabulous!!

Is the ship brand new? No. Is it a dog, past her prime ready for salvage? Absolutely not!! Does she need a bit of polishing? Sure. Is it bad enough to ruin my cruise or keep me from sailing on her again? No way.

Oh, look - going through my pictures, I did find the picture of the chair with the stain; didn't even realize I had captured it.

Here's the chair w/the offending spot, lol.🙄

And here's where it was located during Muster.
