The obc/dollars off for booking transatlantic and repositioning cruises On Board has been reduced as of Dec 15, 2023

grand suite and above $150

As I said ^^, the change was as of last week - I suspect you received these docs before last week. My docs for my next cruise also have the 'old' information in.

I've been seeing some questions in other online places asking whether Repositioning includes Transatlantic and Transpacific since the list of destinations on the website shows each one separately.

That is a HUGE change.  75% reduction for 10+ night repos.

 

Have two 14-night TAs booked for 2024 with previous OBC amount.

Why would they target Repos?  Are Repos running at 100% or higher capacity now?

The OBC relative to the fares being paid is probably one of the highest - RCI wants to be less generous.

Transatlantics used to be very very cheap with relatively low numbers for high tier C&A members not the case now . Now they are heavy loaded with lots of C&A members entitled to 'free' stuff. Got to recoup the money somehow .

I must have gotten them before then, yes. My cruise is in 8 days.

I just won’t be booking cruises onboard now. I don’t need them, our TA gives us good prices. 😁

The five words that always mean they are screwing you out of something.  Like when they enhanced everyone out of their cookies and soda/beer in exchange for another bottle of water.

Technically, any cruise that departs from one port and ends in a different port is a repositioning sailing s it may not be limited Transatlantic and Transpacific crossings.
